<<CHENGDU, 7th SEPTEMBER, 2026>> – Located within the historic Guangdong Hall at Taikoo Li Chengdu, The Hall by Louis Vuitton brings the Maison’s Art de Vivre to the table, extending its spirit of travel, creativity and discovery into gastronomy. Louis Vuitton’s first restaurant in China brings together food, wine, cocktails, afternoon tea experience, art and design within a historic building that once served as a gathering place for merchants, continuing its longstanding role as a place of exchange and encounter.

Awarded One MICHELIN Star in the MICHELIN Guide Chengdu in both 2025 and 2026, The Hall by Louis Vuitton presents contemporary European cuisine in dialogue with Sichuan and its rich culinary culture. Tasting menus and à la carte dining are complemented by afternoon tea, an extensive wine programme and cocktails, offering different ways to experience The Hall throughout the day.

Past and present meet throughout the 320-square-metre space. The original carpentry and see-through timber gates of Guangdong Hall have been preserved, with curved contemporary forms introduced within the existing architecture. Specially crafted furniture and pieces from Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades collection sit alongside original artworks, while a coral-embellished chandelier provides a striking focal point.

INTRODUCING NEWLY APPOINTED EXECUTIVE CHEF PIER DAVIDE MAIURI

At the helm of The Hall’s kitchen is Executive Chef Pier Davide Maiuri, whose career spans Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Since arriving in Chengdu, he has immersed himself in the region’s terroir, ingredients and food culture, incorporating these influences into his unique approach at The Hall.

Born in Tivoli, near Rome, Maiuri has worked in some of the world’s most celebrated kitchens, including Gaggan in Bangkok, L’Effervescence in Tokyo and Alinea in Chicago. Before moving to China, he served as Executive Chef at Luna Lu in Sydney, where he led the restaurant to a One Hat award in The Australian Good Food Guide.

His cooking draws from Italian traditions, French techniques and the flavours and ideas encountered throughout his international career. Together with his understanding of Sichuan ingredients and local food culture, these influences come through in a contemporary European approach with a strong connection to Chengdu.

THE LATEST MENU OFFERINGS AT THE HALL

The Hall’s current offering is presented through two tasting menus: the eight-course Le Voyage, priced at RMB 1,988 per guest, and five-course Les Classiques, priced at RMB 1,488 per guest. Wine pairings are available at RMB 988 and RMB 688 respectively, while an à la carte menu offers a selection of individual dishes.

Across the menus, Maiuri draws on his Italian roots and international experience while working with ingredients from Sichuan and across China. Fusilloni, Chickpeas, Sea Urchin, Smoked Eel takes inspiration from pasta e ceci and Maiuri’s Roman roots. Chickpeas are cooked with guanciale, anchovies, extra virgin olive oil and tomato paste to create the base in which the fusilloni is finished, while Dalian sea urchin, smoked eel foam, black lime and finger lime bring contrasting richness, smoke and acidity.

Maiuri’s experience in Bangkok informs another signature, Scampi, Thai Green Curry, Celtuce, Ice Plant. New Zealand scampi is paired with coconut water gel and coconut foam alongside a green curry sauce inspired by the herbs and layered spice Maiuri encountered during his time in Thailand. The dish has remained on The Hall’s menu since its early days, evolving through its seasonal accompaniments while retaining the combination of scampi and green curry.

Local Chinese ingredients are woven throughout the menu. Shio-koji Cuttlefish, Heart of Palm, Pil-Pil, Superior Oscietra Caviar combines two preparations of cuttlefish with pickled heart of palm and Oscietra caviar from Tianquan County in Sichuan, finished with pil-pil sauce and Shaoxing drunken chicken foam.

New Zealand Black Abalone, Shiitake, Black Garlic, Sake Beurre Blanc, another signature, features wild New Zealand black abalone gently braised with clam water and kombu, served over shiitake carpaccio with shiitake purée, black garlic gel and sake beurre blanc infused with shiitake oil.

Maiuri also looks directly to Sichuan food culture with “Sichuan Liangfen”, Snow Crab, his interpretation of the much-loved local dish. Rather than the traditional mung bean starch jelly, chicken consommé is set into a silky, jelly-like texture and seasoned with Sichuan chilli sauce, before being paired with crab consommé foam and snow crab.

Elsewhere, Atlantic Brill, Corn, Sea Snails, Wasabi, Vermouth sees brill prepared à la meunière with white glutinous corn from Chuxiong in Yunnan and yellow sweetcorn, accompanied by sea snails, semolina gnocchi and a vermouth reduction with wasabi.

For Australian Wagyu Beef Tenderloin, Yunnan Porcini, Sauce Périgueux, M5 Rangers Valley tenderloin is paired with Yunnan porcini, lardo di Colonnata, black truffle and a classic Périgueux sauce. Huzhou Pigeon, Caramelised Shallot, Salsa Verde, Provençal Condiment, Kampot Pepper uses young pigeon from Zhejiang, dry-aged with spices for five days before being cooked whole and finished over the barbecue.

Desserts continue the connection with ingredients from the region. Green Tea Espuma, White Chocolate Frozen Mousse, Bergamot Cream, White Chocolate Ice Cream centres on Mengding Ganlu from Ya’an, Sichuan, with a bamboo pattern created using the traditional Chinese diancha method. Nougat Mousse, Nina Queen Sorbet, Shine Muscat Consommé brings together fresh grapes, grape gel and sorbet with a chilled grape consommé for a lighter finish to the menu.

    AFTERNOONS AT THE HALL

The Hall’s afternoon offering centres on Tea Time “Gourmand”, priced at RMB 1,188 for two guests, with the option to add a glass of Champagne for RMB 168.

Alongside the Tea Time experience, guests can order from a separate Luxury Snacks menu. Highlights include Monogram Waffle with Romesco Cream and Sichuan Oscietra Caviar (RMB 338), Monogram Baozi with Yunnan Morel Mushrooms, Caramelised Shallots and Hazelnut (RMB 288), Chengdu Crab Roll with Snow Crab, Sichuan Chilli Sauce and Peanuts (RMB 388), and Croque Louis with Ham, Comté and Black Truffle (RMB 428).

Drinks are available separately, including the Sichuan-inspired Local coffee with dark chocolate, Sichuan pepper, cacao and milk foam, and Tokyo Iced Matcha, both priced at RMB 98. The afternoon wine selection includes Billecart-Salmon Brut NV in a 375ml format (RMB 728) and Drappier Rosé de Saignée Brut NV (RMB 1,388).

    THE HALL’S WINE COLLECTION

The Hall’s wine programme brings together established European estates with a growing representation of Chinese producers. Wines of the Maison include Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé, Krug Grande Cuvée 171ème Édition and Dom Pérignon 2012, alongside Domaine Tissot Clos de La Tour de Curon 2019 from Jura and AoYun 2018 from Yunnan.

The Sommelier’s Selection reaches across regions and styles, from Domaine Ostertag Les Vieilles Vignes de Sylvaner 2020 from Alsace and Domaine Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru ‘En Remilly’ 2020 from Burgundy to Gaja Barolo Sperss 1996 from Piedmont and Domaine Muxin 2022 from Yunnan. Chinese wines are represented more broadly throughout the list, including Puchang Vineyard Rkatsiteli 2022 from Xinjiang and Legacy Peak Kalavinka 2021 from Ningxia, both also available by the glass.

    THE HALL’S SIGNATURE COCKTAILS

The Hall’s current signature cocktail menu brings together familiar spirits with ingredients and flavours from across Asia. Peach Island combines gin, matcha, honey peach and Palo Santo; Yuzu Margarita pairs tequila and Pisco with yuzu and shiso; Summer Breeze brings together rum, absinthe, white crème de cacao and bitter melon; while Berry Wonderland combines gin with raspberry, blackberry and rosemary. Signature cocktails are priced at RMB 108. Classic cocktails, from the Negroni and Espresso Martini to the Paper Plane, Paloma, Jungle Bird and Vieux Carré, are also offered at RMB 108.

A selection of alcohol-free mocktails is available at RMB 88, including Camelia, with camellia, gardenia, cranberry and green tea; Orchard, with passion fruit, raspberry and lemon; Vine Whisper, combining vanilla pod, lapsang souchong and Kyoho grape; and Emerald Forest, with chrysanthemum, coconut and apple.

From its dining menus and afternoon tea to its wine and cocktail programmes, The Hall brings together Louis Vuitton’s Art de Vivre with the character and culinary culture of Chengdu, offering guests different ways to experience the restaurant throughout the day.

    AMBER(法式料理)

    ALWAYS JOY(Yardbird

    Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic(法式料理)

    Leela(印度料理)

    Torikaze

    Tell Camellia(雞尾酒吧)

Seven acclaimed restaurants and one bar join forces for an exclusive 16-hands charity lunch on 12 September to support flood-affected communities in Nepal

<<Hong Kong, 3rd September 2026>> – On 12 September 2026 (Saturday), Hong Kong’s vibrant culinary community will gather at Amber for a 16-hands charity lunch dedicated to raising urgent funds for those devastated by recent flooding in Nepal. One hundred percent of all proceeds from the event will go directly towards The Hong Kong Red Cross’s Nepal Flash Floods Emergency Appeal 2026 helping to provide immediate relief and support long-term recovery efforts. Guest chefs from eight of the city’s premier dining and bar institutions will each contribute a signature course, along with bespoke bites and petits fours, serving guests for a one-off afternoon of gastronomy and solidarity.

The initiative bridges a deep connection between Hong Kong’s hospitality industry and Nepal. The Nepalese community has long served as a foundation of the local restaurant scene in Hong Kong, known for their dedication, warmth, and resilience. This special gathering offers Hong Kong’s food community a chance to return that generosity in a time of crisis.

“This cause is very close to my heart,” says Richard Ekkebus, Culinary Director of Amber and Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong. “The Nepalese community has long been a quiet backbone of Hong Kong’s hospitality industry: strong sense of commitment, generous, loyal, and always serving others with warmth and dignity. In this difficult moment, it feels only right that we come together as an industry to support them and their families back home. On a personal level, Nepal holds a very special place in my heart. My love of climbing in the Himalayas has given me some of the most meaningful experiences of my life, and none of those journeys would have been possible without the strength, kindness, and guidance of the Sherpa people.”

    Participating Restaurants, Bar & Backgrounds

    AMBER (French Cuisine)

Since its opening in 2005, Amber at Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong has been a trailblazer on the global fine dining scene. Under the leadership of Richard Ekkebus, the Hotel’s Culinary Director and Director of Food & Beverage, the restaurant continues to evolve — celebrated not only for its exceptional contemporary cuisine but also for its progressive approach to intentional, responsible gastronomy.

After having held two Michelin stars for 16 consecutive years and a Michelin Green Star since 2022, Amber was honoured with three Michelin stars in 2025 and 2026. Its enduring acclaim is a testament to its unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation. Chef Ekkebus’ creative vision, while rooted in classical French techniques, is continuously reimagined through a lens of environmental and ethical responsibility in the context of his adopted home of Hong Kong and the surrounding region. Given his two decades in Hong Kong, Chef Ekkebus’ culinary philosophy has evolved with a distinct Asian sensibility — one that embraces the likes of umami, layered textures and sensory depth — qualities in tune with local palates.

Mandarin Grill + Bar (French Cuisine)

Mandarin Grill + Bar returns as a reimagined expression of a Hong Kong institution—where the enduring allure of the grand grill is viewed through a distinctly contemporary lens. Guided by Chef Junior Nadje’s European Michelin-trained sensibility, the restaurant explores a cuisine of contrast: fire and finesse, deep-rooted memory and modern expression, theatricality and restraint. Here, flame is not merely a spectacle, but a language—one that draws out the purity of exceptional ingredients through smoke, precise technique and an instinctive respect for provenance. From the quiet drama of tableside carving to thoughtfully composed wine pairings from an authoritative cellar, every detail is designed to linger. With its renewed modern French grill identity, Mandarin Grill + Bar offers fine dining of genuine ambition, delivered with the warmth, energy and effortless graciousness that define Mandarin Oriental.

ALWAYS JOY (Seasonal Izakaya by Yardbird)

Following the closure of beloved snack bar RONIN in March 2025, restaurateurs Matt Abergel and Lindsay Jang have successfully launched ALWAYS JOY—a vibrant neighbourhood restaurant that honours RONIN’s celebrated legacy while embracing fresh energy and expanded possibilities. Located just steps from Yardbird on Wing Lok Street, this newest venture represents the natural evolution of a team that has spent over a decade defining Hong Kong’s dining landscape. ALWAYS JOY embodies the philosophy that has always driven this restaurant group: creating spaces where exceptional food meets genuine community. The restaurant reflects fifteen years of deep relationships—Matt’s connections with Japanese suppliers throughout Kyushu, combined with unparalleled access to Hong Kong’s incredible markets and their variety of fresh, live seafood and amazing produce.

Cristal Room by Anne Sophie Pic (French Cuisine)

Two MICHELIN-starred Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic represents a groundbreaking collaboration between Baccarat, the iconic crystal manufacturer and creator of enchanting worlds, Anne-Sophie Pic, the world’s most Michelin-starred female chef, and Leading Nation Hospitality in Hong Kong. This remarkable restaurant led by Head Chef Marc Mantovani, opened in mid-November 2023, seamlessly blends the realms of hospitality, design, and gastronomy. Anne-Sophie Pic, acclaimed for her culinary finesse and renowned for her concept and cuisine philosophy of “Suffusion”, brings her unmatched exquisite sensibilities, perfect balance, and striking flavour combinations to the Cristal Room.

    Leela (Indian Cuisine)

Led by Chef Manav Tuli, the one-DIAMOND-recognised and Tatler Best’s Top 20 Restaurants of Hong Kong, Leela honours India’s rich culinary history with a contemporary touch. From tantalizing street snacks to rich curries, each dish at Leela tells a story, inviting you to embark on a culinary journey like no other.

    Torikaze Hong Kong (Japanese Yakitori)

Torikaze is the international expression of Chef Yoshiteru Ikegawa’s Torishiki ICHIMON, the acclaimed collective of yakitori restaurants dedicated to the philosophy of Yakitori-dō (“the Way of Yakitori”). Guided by the motto “one skewer, one lifetime,” Torikaze embodies a tradition that transforms the humble chicken skewer into an elevated dining experience defined by precision, discipline, and respect for the ingredient. With outposts in New York, Shanghai, and now Hong Kong at Forty-Five, LANDMARK, Torikaze continues Ikegawa’s mission to preserve and share the craft of authentic Tokyo yakitori with a global audience.

Yong Fu Hong Kong (Ningbo Chinese Cuisine)

Founded in Shanghai in 2011 by Mr. Weng Youjun, Yong Fu celebrates the authentic flavours and ingredients of Ningbo—a coastal Jiangnan region known as the “land of fish and rice.” Since opening in autumn 2019, the Hong Kong outpost of this celebrated Chinese institution has earned One MICHELIN Star, One Black Pearl Diamond, and a spot among Tatler Best’s Top 20 Restaurants in Hong Kong. Under the direction of Chef Liu Zhen, Yong Fu Hong Kong elevates fresh seafood and traditional Ningbo fermentation techniques into an exquisite, multi-sensory fine dining experience.

    Tell Camellia (Cocktail Bar)

In 2019, Tell Camellia opened its doors in the heart of Hong Kong. The name itself reflects the venue’s philosophy — “Tell” represents storytelling through drinks, while “Camellia” refers to the genus of tea plants, honouring the foundation of the bar’s craft.

From the beginning, the team set out to create a space that would challenge conventions and offer something truly unique in the world of cocktails. Under Gagan’s leadership, Tell Camellia has mastered the delicate balance of combining premium spirits with carefully selected teas from around the world. Each cocktail tells a story, bringing together centuries of tea tradition with modern mixology techniques.

Tell Camellia’s signature approach involves infusing spirits with teas, creating complex flavour profiles that cannot be found elsewhere. From delicate white teas to robust black teas, each variety brings its own distinct character to their creations.

The Monthly Sunday Gathering Returns in a New Format, Pairing an Unlimited Feast by Chef ArChan Chan with One Bottle of Chinese Wine Per Guest

<<1st September 2026 – Hong Kong>> Ho Lee Fook gives its much-loved Good Fortune Club a fresh new spin since launching in July 2022, transforming the monthly Sunday gathering into an afternoon of endless dim sum and Chinese wine. Taking place on the first Sunday of every month, the revamped experience brings together an unlimited menu by Executive Chef Archan Chan inclusive of one bottle of Chinese wine per guest, priced at HK$988 + 10%.

Good Fortune Club has long been Ho Lee Fook’s answer to a leisurely Hong Kong Sunday afternoon spent around the table with friends. In its latest iteration, the restaurant turns the spotlight towards one of its greatest passions: the evolving world of Chinese wine. Guests can settle in over endless steamers of signature classics and special dim sum creations, accompanied by a bottle selected from a line-up of sparkling, white, rosé and red wines from some of China’s most exciting producers.

The experience draws from Ho Lee Fook’s collection of 110 Chinese wines spanning Ningxia, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Shandong, Shanxi and Hebei, one of the most extensive explorations of Chinese wine in Hong Kong. The restaurant’s sommeliers have built the collection around bottles that speak not only to China’s rapidly developing wine industry, but also to Chinese culture, history and Ho Lee Fook’s own culinary story.

Zero-proof sparkling tea is also available, while guests keen to explore the collection further can upgrade to a selection of reserve Chinese wines.

ENDLESS DIM SUM, HO LEE FOOK STYLE

There is no need to choose carefully here. Good Fortune Club is made for ordering generously, passing plates around the table and going back for another round.

Chef ArChan brings together Ho Lee Fook favourites and special dim sum creations including Har Har Har Gow; Pork, Prawn & Quail Egg Siu Mai; Crispy Minced Chicken & Glutinous Rice Dumpling; Bombay Duck Spring Roll; Steamed Garlic Chives & Vegetable Dumplings; Kurobuta Pork Char Siu Puff with Pineapple; and Mala Pork Xiao Long Bao.

More playful creations include “Prawn Toast x Okonomiyaki”, finished with Kewpie mayonnaise, Bull-Dog sauce, shaved cabbage and aonori; Mala Beef Balls with kaffir lime leaves; and Chiuchow-Style Cheung Fun with spring onion.

The unlimited menu extends well beyond dim sum, with Chongqing Chicken Wings with facing heaven chillies, dried chillies and Sichuan pepper; Salt & Pepper Tofu with crispy garlic; Turnip Cake with Ho Lee Fook XO sauce and Chinese sausage; Fujian Fried Rice; and Salted Pork & Egg Fried Rice Vermicelli.

From the barbecue, guests can tuck into Ho Lee Fook’s honey-glazed, charcoal-grilled Kurobuta Pork Char Siu, alongside Pipa Goose, with one serving available per table. To finish are Green Bean Ice Cream with rue oil and coconut cream and Crispy Coffee & Salted Egg Yolk Lava Buns.

A NEW SPOTLIGHT ON CHINESE WINE

The revamped Good Fortune Club places Chinese wine firmly alongside dim sum as one of the afternoon’s main attractions. Each guest is invited to select one bottle from the Good Fortune Club list, with sparkling, white, rosé and red expressions offering a taste of the diversity of China’s modern wine regions and winemakers.

Ho Lee Fook’s sommeliers have sought out wines with stories that speak to Chinese culture, history and the restaurant itself. Some follow the journeys of Chinese winemakers beyond China, from Hong Kong-born talent shaping wines in Italy to the early Chinese labourers who helped plant Sonoma’s vineyards in the 19th century. Others lead back to places with a connection to Ho Lee Fook, including Australian estates tied to Chef ArChan’s years cooking there, as well as wines that have graced the tables of historic Chinese banquets.

The selection includes Devo ‘MV04’ Brut Nature from Ningxia, produced by China’s first winery devoted entirely to traditional-method, zero-dosage sparkling wine; Tiansai Skyline of Gobi ‘Selection’ Chardonnay from Xinjiang; Puchang Vineyard ‘Orange’ Rkatsiteli from the desert oasis of Turpan Valley; Xige Estate ‘Jade Dove’ Rosé from Ningxia; Canaan Winery Chapter and Verse Hebei ‘Huailai Mastery’ Pinot Noir; and Grace Vineyard ‘Tasya’s’ Reserve Sangiovese from Shanxi.

For an additional HK$388, guests can explore reserve selections including September Helan ‘The Missing Vineyard’ Syrah from Ningxia and XiaoLing ‘Nuages de XiaoLing’ from Yunnan.

With endless dim sum, one bottle per guest and a different side of Chinese wine to discover, the revamped Good Fortune Club brings fresh energy to Ho Lee Fook’s monthly Sunday tradition.

(KURO KARE)

    Heroes Beer Co

[25th August 2026 – Hong Kong] BaseHall welcomes four new concepts to its line-up at Jardine House this August, bringing together new takes on familiar flavours from Hong Kong and across Asia. Moon Lok Chao Shan and Ying Hung Palace by Heroes Beer Co join as new physical counters inside BaseHall 02, while Mee Mee Shanghai and Kuro Kare, a new concept from the team behind SEVENS, expand BaseHall 02’s ghost kitchen offering with menus available for takeaway and delivery.

Together, the four arrivals span Chiu Chow comfort food and Shanghainese favourites to Japanese curry and udon, alongside the lively flavours of a Hong Kong dai pai dong.

    Moon Lok Chao Shan (NEW)

A contemporary fast-casual concept by Buick Management Limited, Moon Lok Chao Shan brings the traditions of Chiu Chow cooking into an approachable everyday format. The youthful sister brand to Pak Loh Chiu Chow and a continuation of the Moon Lok Chiu Chow brand draws on more than six decades of culinary heritage, with its treasured 60-year-old master stock forming the foundation of the menu.

At BaseHall 02, the menu centres on Soyed Delicacies with Rice, with diners choosing between one and four soyed delicacies (HK$78-118), alongside a choice of rice, congee or noodles. The selection spans Chiu Chow favourites including soyed goose, beef shank, chicken thigh, pig’s ear, pork belly, egg and tofu, with the option to add the brand’s Mala Spicy Sauce for a more contemporary take on the traditional flavours.

Elsewhere, the menu includes Chiu Chow Style Congee with Dried Flat Fish and Minced Pork (HK$68), Chiu Chow Style Congee with Dried Scallop and Minced Pork (HK$68) and Signature Soy Sauce Fried Noodles (HK$68), alongside rice dishes such as Rice with Preserved Vegetables and Pork Belly (HK$88) and Rice with Satay Diced Beef (HK$128). Selected congee and noodle dishes can also be made into a combo, including one drink, one Chiu Chow soyed delicacy and a complimentary Chiu Chow small dish.

From 4pm daily, Moon Lok introduces a dedicated à la carte menu designed for sharing, with larger portions of its signature soyed specialities served alongside complimentary daily soup. Highlights include Soyed Sliced Goose Meat and Tofu (HK$198), Soyed Goose Meat with Bones and Tofu (HK$168), as well as sharing plates featuring soyed pig’s ear, pork belly with tofu (HK$138).

A selection of snacks and handcrafted specialty drinks completes the offering, bringing together heritage Chiu Chow flavours with a contemporary, casual dining format designed for Central’s everyday diners.

    Mee Mee Shanghai (NEW)

Joining BaseHall 02 as a new ghost kitchen, Mee Mee Shanghai is a contemporary Shanghainese concept by Buick Management Limited that looks at the city’s food through a distinctly Hong Kong point of view. Inspired by the long relationship between Hong Kong and Shanghai – and the old-school Shanghainese restaurants and flavours that have become part of Hong Kong’s own dining culture – the concept brings together familiar dishes with contemporary touches and Hong Kong-inspired interpretations.

The menu is built around noodles, rice and freshly made wontons. Diners can choose between Pork Bone Soup or Sour & Spicy Soup, with noodles or rice noodles, paired with toppings including Chives & Pork Wontons (HK$60), Crab Roe & Shrimp Wontons (HK$65), Deep-Fried Pork Cutlet (HK$70) and Huadiao Drunken Chicken (HK$80).

Shanghai-style dan dan noodles offer a richer alternative, with combinations including Chives & Pork Dumplings Dan Dan Noodles (HK$70), Deep-Fried Pork Cutlet Dan Dan Noodles (HK$80).

Rice dishes include Shanghainese Black Vinegar Sweet & Sour Pork Rice (HK$80), a dish that plays on the crossover between Hong Kong and Shanghai flavours, alongside Mapo Tofu & Pork Rice (HK$75), Huadiao Drunken Chicken Rice (HK$85) and Scallion & Chicken Rice (HK$80). Snacks such as Pork & Vegetable Steamed Bun (HK$35), Spicy Smashed Cucumber (HK$35) and Cold Sesame Noodles with Shredded Chicken (HK$75) round out the menu.

    Kuro Kare (NEW)

Kuro Kare (黑釜) is the newest concept from the team behind SEVENS, which first joined BaseHall 02 earlier this year with its modern approach to Hong Kong’s “this this rice” culture. Kuro Kare turns its attention to Japanese comfort food, specialising in deeply flavoured curry, grilled meats, udon and kamameshi.

At the centre of the concept is Kuro Kare’s signature black-gold curry, made by flame-roasting a proprietary blend of spices with eight fruits and vegetables before enriching the mixture with a 10-hour bone broth. The resulting curry is paired with smoky grilled meats and served with either Japanese pearl rice or udon.

Signature choices include the KURO Trinity Meat Curry with grilled chicken, beef and pork belly (HK$138) and KURO Trinity Beef Curry with ox tongue, grilled beef and slow-braised beef (HK$138). Other options include KURO Slow-Braised Beef Curry (HK$98), Thick-Cut Pork Belly Curry (HK$98), Charcoal-Grilled Chicken Curry (HK$88) and Grilled Duck Curry (HK$88).

Beyond curry, Kuro Kare serves Hokkaido Soup Curry Udon (HK$128) and Rich Tomato Soup Udon (HK$128), alongside a series of ultra-rich creamy maze-udon including Mentaiko Creamy Udon, KURO Curry Creamy Udon and Dandan Mince Soy Milk Creamy Udon (HK$98 each). The menu also introduces kamameshi, with Scallion & Duck Kamameshi (HK$98) and Premium Black Truffle & Mushroom with Grilled Beef Kamameshi (HK$138).

Ying Hung Palace by Heroes Beer Co (NEW)

Completing the new line-up is Ying Hung Palace (英雄酒家), a lively new physical counter conceived as Central’s dai pai dong. Built around the idea that the extraordinary can be found in the ordinary, Ying Hung Palace celebrates the everyday rituals of Hong Kong dining: cold beer, bubbling claypots, sizzling plates and dishes made for sharing around the table.

The food menu draws on familiar dai pai dong flavours. Three signature dishes: Fried Chicken Wing with Sichuan Chilli (HK$98), Grilled Pork Cheek Thai Style (HK$98) and Black Pepper Beef Finger Rib & Potato (HK$128) , were specially developed by Big JJ.

A brand new draft beer EXO (extraordinary ) Lager by Heroes is introduced for the first time at $68 for 2 glasses, alongside a Thermo Beer Tower that keeps your beer cold and carbonated at the same time. It even comes with an actual beer tap for an authentic experience. The drinks menu also features draft cocktails including C06-Libre (HK$98) with cola, lemon and rum, and Palace Spritz (HK$98) with Pu’er, lime and gin. Non-alcoholic options include Ribena Lemon No. 7 (HK$48) and Salted Plum Soda (HK$48).

With two new counters and two delivery-led concepts joining its existing roster, BaseHall 02 continues to bring together a broad mix of Hong Kong-grown brands and new ideas under one roof, championing the food and people that make one of the world’s greatest cities so unique.

<<24th August 2026 – Hong Kong>> What began as a summer pop-up has quickly become one of the season’s hottest tables. Following an overwhelming response since its 1st July pop-up launch, MARROW, Chef Chris Ma’s contemporary meat-led restaurant concept at Lee Tung Avenue, will extend its run until 30 September 2026, with a new line-up of dishes joining the menu for its final month. From 1 September, Chef Chris and the MARROW team will introduce five new dishes, bringing more local ingredients, open-fire cooking and flavours inspired by Hong Kong and the wider region to the menu.

At the same time, the extension marks the final weeks before The Baker & The Bottleman prepares for its next chapter. Having called Lee Tung Avenue home since opening on 1 January 2022, the neighbourhood bakery will relocate to Leighton Road in Causeway Bay from this early – mid October, with the new location targeted to open in mid to late November 2026.

NEW DISHES AT MARROW FROM 1 SEPTEMBER

Since opening on 1 July, MARROW has approached the familiar format of a grill restaurant from a distinctly Hong Kong perspective. Led by Chef Chris Ma, the menu brings together lesser-known cuts, seafood, local produce and cooking over fire, alongside flavours and techniques that reflect his experience across Hong Kong and international kitchens.

The new additions build on MARROW’s original menu while drawing more deeply on ingredients and flavours rooted in Hong Kong. Local seafood comes through in Smoked Threadfin (HK$188) paired with fermented soybean sauce, while Grilled Mantis Shrimp (HK$268) is served with a nduja chilli and shrimp oil. Local Market Squid (HK$168) is cooked over the grill and paired with black curry, while Grilled Venison (HK$288) is matched with preserved mustard. Rounding out the new dishes is Chinese Silkie Chicken (HK$228) with “Sauce Supreme”, bringing one of the region’s distinctive poultry breeds to MARROW’s menu.

The five dishes join MARROW favourites including “Typhoon Shelter” Roasted Bone Marrow, Sichuan Beef Tartare, Australian Wagyu Bavette, 13oz Australian Wagyu Chuck Eye Steak and Croissant “Pain Perdu”, which have formed part of the restaurant’s menu since its July debut.

MARROW will continue serving dinner at The Baker & The Bottleman’s first-floor Lee Tung Avenue space until 30 September 2026.For September’s reservations at Marrow, please visit website at HERE with bookings to open from 1800pm on 24th August.

THE BAKER & THE BOTTLEMAN MOVES TO CAUSEWAY BAY THIS MID / END NOVEMBER

Following MARROW’s conclusion, The Baker & The Bottleman will begin its own next chapter with a move from Wan Chai to Leighton Road, Causeway Bay this early-mid October 2026.

The Baker & The Bottleman first opened at Lee Tung Avenue on 1 January 2022, introducing a relaxed approach to British baking and dining to Hong Kong. Over the past four years, the two-storey destination has become known for its ground-floor bakery alongside its upstairs restaurant, bringing together artisanal breads and pastries with seasonal, ingredient-led cooking.

The relocation will see The Baker & The Bottleman move to a new home on Leighton Road, with an opening currently targeted for mid to late November 2026. Further details on the new Causeway Bay location, opening date and menus will be announced soon.

(Amadai with Braised Fennel and Saffron-Nori Sauce);追求極致享受的客人更可升級品嚐日本鹿兒島野崎和牛(Kagoshima Nozaki Wagyu)配香菇、慢煮乾蔥及脆白昆布。

    Carlito Chiu

<<17th August, 2026 – Hong Kong>> Following two sold-out collaboration dinners in Hong Kong earlier in May 2026, One MICHELIN-starred Duddell’s comes to Taipei this September for the second chapter of its Cantonese culinary exchange with the newly awarded One MICHELIN-starred Silks House at Regent Taipei. Taking place over two evenings only on 16 and 17 September 2026, and marking Duddell’s first collaboration in Taipei, the event sees Duddell’s Executive Chef Chan Yau Leung reunite with Wo Hoi Ming (Chef Max Wo), Regent Taipei’s Chinese Culinary Director, who leads the culinary team at Silks House, this time bringing the two chefs’ ongoing Cantonese culinary dialogue to Taiwan . The reciprocal collaboration follows the partnership first announced earlier this year, celebrating the shared traditions and evolving future of Cantonese cuisine across Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Since the Hong Kong collaboration, both restaurants have continued to receive international recognition. Silks House has been awarded One MICHELIN Star while also being ranked No. 64 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026. Duddell’s, meanwhile, was recently named one of Tatler Best’s Top 20 Restaurants of Hong Kong, reinforcing its reputation as one of the city’s leading destinations for refined Cantonese dining.

Hosted within Regent Taipei, the exclusive dinners will showcase the signature styles of both kitchens through an elegant multi-course menu that reflects each chef’s interpretation of Cantonese gastronomy. Together, Chef  Chan and Chef Wo continue an ongoing culinary dialogue built on mutual respect for tradition, exceptional ingredients and meticulous craftsmanship, while highlighting the distinct character that Hong Kong and Taiwan each bring to the cuisine.

A New Collaboration Menu Created for Taipei

Created especially for the Taipei collaboration, the nine-course menu brings together signature dishes from both Silks House and Duddell’s, reflecting the individual styles of the two kitchens and their shared approach to contemporary Cantonese cuisine.

Highlights from Silks House include Braised “Buddha Jumps Over the Wall” with Cordyceps Flower and Fish Maw and Braised Chicken Wings and Sea Cucumber in Sichuan Mapo Sauce, alongside Duddell’s signature Sautéed Prawn with Chicken Broth and Braised Whole Yoshihama 28 Heads Abalone. The menu also revisits Deep-fried Egg Custard with Chicken Testicles, a Cantonese classic first presented during the chefs’ Hong Kong collaboration in May, creating a culinary thread between the two chapters .

The evening concludes with desserts by Silks House, including Bird’s Nest Custard Pastry and Double-Boiled Hashima with Red Date and Longan.

The 9-course dinner is priced at NT$16,800 + 10% service charge per person, inclusive of five wine pairings curated to complement the menu. Guests who prefer not to drink may instead enjoy a thoughtfully crafted non-alcoholic pairing, offered at no additional charge.

    Duddell’s x Silks House 2nd Collaboration Dinner

    Dates: 16-17 September 2026

    Duration: Two dinners only

    Price: NT$16,800 + 10% per person

    Location: Silks House, Regent Taipei

Introducing Taiwan’s Silks House and Chef Max Wo

Silks House is led by Wo Hoi Ming (Chef Max Wo), Chinese Culinary Director of Regent Taipei and a veteran Cantonese chef with more than three decades of experience. An alumnus of Hong Kong’s renowned Lei Garden, Chef Wo took on the role of head chef at Silks House in 2019 and has since garnered praise for his pure, traditional cooking style and masterful handling of premium ingredients.

Located within Regent Taipei, Silks House has become a destination for gourmets drawn to its elegant dining room and sophisticated Cantonese cuisine. Signature dishes such as xishi soup rice prepared with lobster, mud crab and white prawns, char siu pork, and steamed king crab with egg and Shaoxing wine showcase the kitchen’s dedication to refined flavour and classical technique.

  • ANDŌ BEGINS ITS NEXT CHAPTER WITH A NEW MENUS, NEW DESIGN AND A RENEWED PHILOSOPHY FROM AUGUST 2026

ANDŌ unveils its most transformative chapter to date with an entirely reimagined dining experience featuring a new ocean-inspired tasting menu, redesigned interiors, bespoke ceramics, a new wine programme by Carlito Chiu, and the next evolution of Chef Agustin Balbi’s culinary philosophy

Please click here to download ANDO’s new official images

[11th August 2026 – Hong Kong] This August, one MICHELIN-starred ANDŌ welcomes guests into a new chapter. More than the launch of a new tasting menu, the restaurant reopens with a complete reimagining of the ANDŌ experience – introducing a new culinary concept, redesigned dining room, bespoke tableware, refreshed staff uniforms, an elevated new wine programme and thoughtful keepsakes for every guest.

Leading this new chapter is the evolution of Chef-Founder Agustin Balbi’s signature philosophy of “Personal Cuisine”. Since opening in July 2020, ANDŌ has reflected Agustin’s multicultural identity, weaving together the influences of Spain, Japan and Hong Kong. Now, that philosophy becomes even more intimate through a tasting menu that unfolds as a deeply autobiographical journey beneath the ocean’s surface.

Inspired by Agustin’s own path from the wide plains of Argentina to the island nation of Japan before eventually establishing ANDŌ in Hong Kong, the new menu transforms the metaphor of a descent into the sea into a narrative of curiosity, migration, growth and mastery. Each course reflects a different stage of Balbi’s journey, tracing the experiences, places and people that have shaped his cooking today.

“I was born in Argentina, where the landscape is defined by open plains and fire. The sea always represented something unknown – something I felt compelled to understand if I wanted to become the chef I dreamed of being. Leaving home for Japan changed my life, and eventually brought me to Hong Kong and ANDŌ. This new menu tells that journey through the language of the ocean. Every chapter represents a different stage of my life, from curiosity and discovery to mastery and finding my own voice. More than a new tasting menu, this is the most personal expression of ANDŌ we have ever created,” says Chef Agustin Balbi.

A Culinary Journey Through the Ocean

The new tasting experience unfolds in four distinct chapters, each inspired by a different ocean depth.

The journey begins with “Sunlight”, where bright, delicate flavours celebrate the freshness and energy of the ocean’s surface. It then descends into “Twilight”, where richer flavours, gentle smoke and deeper umami reflect the years spent navigating new cultures and kitchens. As guests venture into “Midnight”, dishes become increasingly concentrated and comforting, showcasing profound expressions of seafood and Japanese technique. Finally, “Seaweed & Salt” serves as the closing chapter – a poetic reminder of the elements that have connected Balbi’s journey across continents and continue to define his cuisine today. This progression extends beyond flavour alone. Custom-designed ceramic plates gradually transition from light to dark as the menu progresses, visually mirroring the descent through the ocean while reinforcing the immersive storytelling behind every course.

Reflecting ANDŌ’s continued dedication to exceptional seafood in which meat is now removed from the main menu but served as an alternative option, the new 5 & 8 course tasting menu presents refined expressions of the ocean through contemporary technique and meticulous craftsmanship.

The experience begins with a trio of welcome bites including Tomato Tart with Caviar, Marinated Buri with Uni, and Charcoal-Grilled Octopus with Oxalis, before moving into elegant seafood dishes such as Tuna with Capers, Pickled Red Onion and Umami Foam and Ama Ebi Tartare with Roasted Peppers, Kristal Caviar and Cava Air.

Among the signatures is Squid Caldoso Rice, a longstanding ANDŌ favourite inspired by Chef Agustin’s grandmother (“Sin Lola”), where local Yi-O rice is slowly cooked with chorizo, aromatic vegetables and layered broths before being finished with delicately sliced squid. Other highlights include Lisa Fish with Burnt Salsa Roja, Amadai with Braised Fennel and Saffron-Nori Sauce, while guests seeking an additional indulgence may choose to upgrade to premium Japanese Kagoshima Nozaki Wagyu, served alongside shiitake mushrooms, slow-cooked shallots and crisp white kombu. A comforting seasonal onion and kombu broth serves as a transition between the cold and hot courses.

Desserts continue the narrative with compositions including Chocolate, Mascarpone, Coffee and Sea Salt and Seaweed.

    Available from August:

    • 3-Course Lunch Experience – HK$688 per guest
    • 4-Course Lunch Experience – HK$888 per guest
    • 5-Course Lunch Experience – HK$1088 per guest
    • 5-Course Dinner – HK$1,688 per guest
    • 8-Course Dinner – HK$2,488 per guest

A Wine Journey Towards the Summit by Carlito Chiu

While the cuisine descends deeper beneath the ocean’s surface, ANDŌ’s beverage programme offers an intentional counterpoint by travelling upwards. Curated by General Manager and Group Wine Director Carlito Chiu, recipient of the MICHELIN Sommelier Award (Hong Kong & Macau MICHELIN Guide 2025) and Tatler Best Sommelier (2024–2026), the entirely new wine programme celebrates vineyards found at some of the world’s highest elevations.

The collection places particular emphasis on high-altitude vineyards, where extreme climates, dramatic day-to-night temperature shifts and mountainous terrain produce wines with freshness, purity and precision. Regions including Yunnan (China), Salta (Argentina), Tarija Valley (Bolivia), Elqui Valley (Chile), Tenerife (Spain) and Val d’Aosta (Italy) are showcased alongside cool-climate producers and pioneering Asian wineries, creating pairings that echo the restaurant’s philosophy of exploration and discovery.

Rather than prescribing a single pairing, the programme functions as a personalised experience, allowing guests to explore wines selected around the themes of high altitude, cool climate, Asian influence and limited-production producers.

    A New Chapter for ANDŌ

The reopening marks a holistic evolution of ANDŌ, where every element of the dining experience has been thoughtfully reconsidered. Alongside the new interiors, bespoke tableware and refreshed uniforms, every guest will also receive a commemorative gift, extending the restaurant’s philosophy beyond the meal itself. With the evolution of Personal Cuisine, ANDŌ enters its next chapter – one that is at once more immersive, more personal and more complete than ever before, inviting guests to journey beneath the surface and experience the story that has shaped Chef Agustin Balbi’s culinary identity.

Chef Loïc Portalier and Chef Wilfrid Hocquet unite celebrating contemporary French bistro cooking

[10th August, 2026 – Hong Kong] This September, One MICHELIN-starred Louise’s La Terrace by Louise welcomes one of Bangkok’s most exciting restaurant openings for an exclusive two-night collaboration. On 8 + 9 September 2026, Executive Chef Loïc Portalier will host Chef Wilfrid Hocquet, Executive Chef and Co-Founder of MARGO, the recipient of MICHELIN Guide Opening of the Year Award in 2026 for a special collaborative à la carte menu celebrating modern French bistro cuisine. Following the Hong Kong event, the collaboration will travel to Bangkok, where Chef will join Chef Wilfrid at MARGO on 22 and 23 September, bringing the culinary exchange full circle.

While each restaurant has its own identity, both chefs draw from the same French culinary foundations, interpreted through their own experiences, local ingredients and personal style. Throughout the collaboration, guests will have the opportunity to experience how each chef interprets this shared heritage through seasonal ingredients, thoughtful technique and bold yet uncomplicated flavours.

Originally from Montpellier in southern France, Chef Wilfrid Hocquet has spent over two decades cooking in some of the world’s most celebrated kitchens, including Le Jardin des Sens (Three MICHELIN Stars), Louis XV – Alain Ducasse (Three MICHELIN Stars) in Monaco, Daniel (Two MICHELIN Stars) in New York and Benoit Paris (One MICHELIN Star). In 2019, he returned to Bangkok to open Blue by Alain Ducasse, earning One MICHELIN star in its first year and maintaining the accolade through 2025.

Today, at MARGO, Chef Hocquet has distilled that experience into a relaxed neighbourhood bistro focused on seasonality, craftsmanship and generous French cooking. Opened in Bangkok in 2025, MARGO is a modern French bistro housed within a restored neighbourhood home. The restaurant focuses on seasonal ingredients from Thailand and Europe, applying classic French techniques to a menu of house-made pastas, terrines, charcuterie and desserts.

Meanwhile, Chef Loïc Portalier continues to define La Terrace by Louise as one of Hong Kong’s most exciting contemporary French dining destinations, combining timeless French techniques with vibrant seasonal produce and the warm hospitality that has become synonymous with Louise. Guests can mix and match dishes from Chef Loïc Portalier and Chef Wilfrid Hocquet’s collaborative à la carte menu, available exclusively during the event.

ABOUT LOUISE AND LA TERRACE BY LOUISE

Set in a two-storied heritage-listed house within the gardens of Hong Kong’s PMQ, one MICHELIN-starred Louise, now led by new Executive Chef Loïc Portalier, is a collaboration between Yenn Wong, Founder of JIA Group and Chef Julien Royer, honoured with the No. 1 position in the “Asia’s 50 Best” award in 2019 and 2020 with his three-MICHELIN starred Singapore restaurant Odette. Acclaimed architect André Fu has transformed the heritage building into an intimately chic colonial home for the restaurant. Welcoming guests into her home, Louise offers relaxed all-day dining and drinks in the newly launched La Terrace by Louise or an invitation to the upstairs dining room for a refined dining experience.

La Terrace by Louise – a renewed concept for the ground floor of Louise combines the best seasonal produce with the timeless allure of French cuisine, this casual and unpretentious setting offers an elevated bistro experience without compromising taste. Whether seeking an after-work libation or a gathering with friends, La Terrace by Louise provides a social space to enjoy enticing French flavors curated by Executive Chef Loïc Portalier.
