Santa Nata, the internationally acclaimed Portuguese bakery specialising in authentic Pastéis de Nata, has opened its first Hong Kong location on Lyndhurst Terrace in Central. Founded in London by Portuguese entrepreneur Francisco Oliveira, the bakery’s Hong Kong outpost marks its 10th global location and first in Asia.
Baked fresh throughout the day using a traditional 300-year-old Portuguese recipe, Santa Nata’s signature custard tarts feature crisp, flaky pastry and a caramelised, creamy centre. Guests can also watch the baking process unfold in the open kitchen while enjoying freshly baked tarts straight from the oven.
Santa Nata Hong Kong Debuts with Curated Signature Menu
The menu centres on three signature pastries: the iconic Pastel de Nata, the Pão de Deus – a Portuguese sweet bread reimagined with a Hong Kong-inspired coconut filling and nata custard – and the Santa Nata Brioche, served plain or with Nata Cream. Fresh batches are baked throughout the day and paired with specialty drinks including the Nata Latte and Nata Milk Tea. Beyond its signature offerings, Santa Nata Hong Kong will introduce a rotating selection of limited-edition pastries, desserts and seasonal specials every 30 to 60 days, blending Portuguese traditions with local flavours to ensure there’s always something new to discover.
From Portugal to London, and Now Hong Kong
Santa Nata was founded by Portuguese entrepreneur Francisco Oliveira, whose family has more than three generations of baking heritage. Since opening the first bakery in London in 2019, the brand has grown internationally while remaining committed to authentic Portuguese baking traditions, with the iconic Pastel de Nata at the heart of its offering.
