    The Chinese Restaurant Awards (CRA) unveiled its inaugural Elite 15 Asia Awards on 29 October 2025 at The Vancouver Club – marking the first time the CRA has ranked top Chinese restaurants across Asia and Canada.

    Led by a panel of 15 Taste Advisors from across Asia, the awards celebrate chefs and restaurants shaping the global future of Chinese gastronomy. “This list reflects the confidence and creativity of Chinese cuisine on the world stage,” says Rae Kung, CRA Managing Director.

    The Chairman (Hong Kong) claimed the #1 spot, with Hong Kong leading the list with six honourees, followed by Shanghai with three. Highlights include Meet the Bund (No. 4) for its Fujianese focus, Xin Rong Ji Hong Kong (No. 8)showcasing Taizhou cuisine, and Yong Fu Hong Kong (No. 9) for its refined Ningbo flavours.

    Special distinctions went to:

    * Master Chef of the Year: Fu Yue, Liang Ru Yuan – Hangzhou

    * Dim Sum Chef of the Year: Zeng Xianxin, De Chu – Guangzhou

    * Rising Star Chefs of the Year: Jayson Tang, Man Ho Chinese Restaurant – Hong Kong and Henry Zhang, Drunken Fish – Macau
