Starting this October, Bibi & Baba has now introduced a new set menu that is only available by advanced 48-hours pre-order for a minimum of 6 guests, available for lunch & dinner. Priced at HK$480+10% per head, the “off-menu” set menu features classic Singaporean and Malaysian dishes that brings guests and their friends on a whirlwind trip to the sunny and tropical island nation.
The “off-menu” menu begins with Grilled Satay, a combination of chicken and pork skewers served with homemade satay pineapple puree sauce and Hei Zho, chicken and prawn rolls wrapped in crispy bean curd sheets and served with sweet chilli sauce. The seafood section of the menu covers Singapore’s most famous culinary traditions – Sambal Stingray, with flaky stingray and spicy sambal wrapped with banana leaves and grilled, Singaporean Chilli Crab featuring juicy mud crab cooked in Bibi & Baba’s thickened sweet, sour, and spicy sauce; and Cereal Prawns, which are highly addicting deep-fried crispy prawns coated in buttered cereal.
Guests may choose between a meat course of Beef Rendang with Rice, which consists of meltingly tender beef shin slow-cooked in a myriad of herbs and spices in a dry curry, or Hainanese Chicken (Half) with Rice, considered to be one of Singapore’s national dishes, with the traditional set of poached yellow chicken, chicken oil-infused garlic rice, and a trio of homemade chilli, ginger jam, and thick dark soya sauce. Enjoy with Wok-fried Four Bean, which includes stir-fried long beans, petai beans, wing beans, and okra with umami-rich dried shrimp sambal.
Fill up your remaining tummy space with Char Kwan Teow, Singapore’s popular stir-fried flat noodles with prawns, choi sum, taugeh (bean sprouts) and Chinese sausages. For dessert, guests will enjoy Giant Ice Kacang, a refreshing classic shaved ice dessert to ward off the heat with toppings of red beans, jellies, sweet corn, nuts, rose syrup, evaporated milk, gula melaka, and Attap seed.
