One MICHELIN-starred and One DIAMOND-recognised ESTRO, known for its modern Italian cuisine led by Chef Antimo Maria Merone, will host a special two-night collaboration with one of 2025 Bangkok’s most exciting new restaurant openings, Margo, on 5 and 6 August. The exclusive dinner-only event brings together two shokunin, two dedicated chef craftsmen and friends with shared sensibilities and refined European foundations.
At the heart of the collaboration is a meeting of philosophies: ESTRO’s elegant, contemporary Italian tasting menus that earned it a spot at #32 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025, and Margo’s warm, ingredient-driven bistro cuisine that’s already captured the attention of Bangkok’s dining scene. Behind Margo is Chef Wilfrid Hocquet, a veteran of kitchens such as Louis XV by Alain Ducasse (Three MICHELIN-starred), Daniel (Two MICHELIN-starred), and Blue by Alain Ducasse Bangkok (One MICHELIN-starred), where he held a MICHELIN star from 2019 through 2025. With Margo, he channels his fine dining pedigree into a more intimate, soulful format that has been earning rave reviews across Bangkok.
