CHAAT, the modern Indian gem nestled within Rosewood Hong Kong, has once again secured its one MICHELIN star rating. Boasting an innovative approach to Indian cuisine led by newly appointed Chef de Cuisine Gaurav Kuthari, CHAAT continues to captivate diners with its vibrant flavours and unique dining experience. Since joining as Sous Chef in 2020, Gaurav Kuthari, with over 15 years of culinary expertise, has been instrumental in propelling CHAAT to its impressive accolades, including its inaugural MICHELIN star.
In a momentous achievement, The Legacy House, celebrated for its authentic refined Cantonese cuisine, is honoured to receive the one MICHELIN star recognition for the first time. This accolade reflects the exceptional quality, artistry, and dedication displayed by The Legacy House, led by Chef Li Chi Wai. Bringing over two decades of culinary expertise to Rosewood Hong Kong in his position as Chinese Executive Chef, Chef Li specialises in creating refined Cantonese cuisine while placing a special emphasis on dishes and prized ingredients from Guangdong, such as Dried Tangerine Peel. .
Ms. Lydia Yung, the team leader and front-of-house professional at The Legacy House, has been honoured with the Best Service Award by the 2024 MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macau. This prestigious recognition celebrates her dedication to delivering exceptional service and ensuring a truly wonderful dining experience for all customers. With 8 years of experience in the service and hospitality industry, Lydia has been an integral part of the Rosewood Hong Kong team since its opening in 2019. She ascended the ranks from Assistant Captain to Captain and eventually assumed the role of Team Leader in 2022, a position she holds to this day. Lydia’s current responsibilities include handling all VIP and special guest services, managing private room bookings, and serving as a departmental trainer on service standards. Her exemplary leadership and commitment have played a pivotal role in cementing The Legacy House’s reputation for unparalleled service and culinary excellence.
