A MENU SHAPED BY TRADITION, REWORKED WITH DETAIL

A British summer menu that feels lighter and more vibrant, while staying rooted in tradition. The Lincolnshire Poacher Soufflé ‘Arnold Bennett’ remains a signature, joined by new starters like lobster tart with Sauternes apples and a crumpet with Iberico ham, poached egg and truffle vinaigrette.

Seafood leads with dishes such as shrimp bisque and steamed seabass with basil and caviar velouté, while vegetables are given equal focus through asparagus with pearl barley and a coal-roasted broth.

Larger plates highlight British butchery, from Dingley Dell pork with black pudding and apple to venison loin with morels and peas, alongside a lighter potato gnocchi with broccoli and pine nuts. Desserts stay classic, with crème brûlée, Bakewell tart, and staples like sticky toffee pudding and Arctic roll.

A NEW MIDDAY MENU: THURSDAY TO SATURDAY

A new Midday Menu (Thursday–Saturday) offers a structured daytime experience, moving from starters through mains to classic British desserts. Starters range from the Magistracy Spring Salad to richer options like prawn bisque and Coronation chicken on crumpet, with steak tartare available as a supplement.

Mains focus on comfort, including Three Yellow Chicken Pie, beer-battered halibut, slow-cooked pork jowl, and a lighter mascarpone risotto, alongside sides such as confit potatoes and creamed spinach. Desserts keep to tradition with sticky toffee pudding and a Knickerbocker Glory. Priced at HK$428 (two courses) and HK$488 (three courses), plus 10% service charge.

AFTERNOON TEA: FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FROM 1PM

fternoon Tea at Magistracy Dining Room (Friday–Saturday from 1pm) follows a classic format with a more relaxed, celebratory feel. Savouries include smoked salmon sandwiches, Coronation-style chicken crumpets, sausage rolls with spiced apple ketchup, and lighter bites like cheese toasties and cheddar shortbread.

This is followed by scones with clotted cream and preserves, then sweets such as jasmine madeleines, matcha apple choux, raspberry rose macarons, and lapsang souchong bonbons. A selection of teas is available, with the option to add English sparkling wine.

The Afternoon Tea is priced at HK$468 + 10% for one and HK$788 + 10% for two.
