This March, BaseHall is proud to welcome four new members to the family including Nocino, a celebration of cosy Swiss-Italian flavours from Tai Hang; Twins Liangpi, a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand-awarded local culinary gem renowned for serving up the city’s best bowl of Sichuan-style ‘cold skin’ noodles; Don Bowls & Rolls by Sushi Fujimoto, the debut of Japanese sushi chef Kenichi Fujimoto’s latest casual venture specialising in authentic and high-quality donburi and hand-rolls; and finally, Pinky Bakery, a beloved local café specializing in preservative-free bakes adds its wholesome touch to the line-up.

    DON BOWLS & ROLLS BY SUSHI FUJIMOTO AT BASEHALL 02

    Don Bowls & Rolls by SUSHI FUJIMOTO, located inside BaseHall 02, celebrates a fresh and casual Japanese dining experience under the vision of Kenichi Fujimoto, chef-founder of Sushi Fujimoto.

    This vibrant new concept offers a delectable selection of donburi (rice bowls), hand rolls and bar snacks that showcase the highest quality seafood flown in daily from Japan. Available for grab-and-go or dining in, dishes and set meals on offer include Don Bowls such as Negi Toro Don (HK$170), Cooked Eel Don (HK$160), Sukiyaki Wagyu Beef Don (HK$190) and Teriyaki Chicken Don (HK$88), Hand Rolls such as Salmon Roe Hand Roll (HK$60) and Sea Urchin Hand Roll (H$98), and Bar Snacks such as Edamame (HK$30), Deep-Fried Chicken (HK$30) and Takoyaki (HK$30). Pair with beverages such as Japanese sake and beer.

     

    TWINS LIANGPI AT BASEHALL 02

    Operated by a husband and wife duo, MICHELIN Bib Gourmand Twins Liangpi Limited in Mong Kok is a local family business that was originally born from the shared passion of twin siblings, who drew inspiration from memories of enjoying authentic street noodles in Sichuan Province, China. Twins Liangpi’s signature dish, Liangpi, showcases lovingly handcrafted, refreshing ‘cold skin’ noodles that offers a delicious contrast of soft yet chewy textures with fragrant notes of mung bean and cassava.

    The noodles are paired with a vibrant medley of toppings such as shredded cucumber, coriander, crunchy soybeans, and roasted peanuts, all tossed in a flavourful sauce blend of sesame paste, chili oil, vinegar and soy sauce. In addition to their classic Liangpi, Twins Liangpi also offers an innovative twist on the traditional dish, incorporating modern ingredients and creative flavours to cater to the diverse palates of their patrons.

    Guests at BaseHall 02 can now indulge in Twins Liangpi’s Signature Cold Steamed Noodle for HK$38, Hot and Sour Glass Noodle Soup (Suan La Fen) (HK$48), Cold Dan Dan Noodles (HK$48), and add-on snacks includingCucumber and Black Fungus (HK$42), Cold Tossed Preserved Egg (HK$46), and Spicy Lotus Root Cubes (HK$46).

    PINKY BAKERY AT BASEHALL 02

    Introducing Pinky Bakery, a beloved local establishment in Hong Kong that epitomizes the founder’s ethos of “less is more.” This quaint handmade bakery is renowned for crafting daily, fresh, healthy, and premium-quality bread that captivates the senses. With a deep-rooted passion for natural ingredients devoid of preservatives and additives, Pinky Bakery strikes the perfect balance of chewiness and flavor in every delightful creation. Now available at BaseHall 02, embrace the opportunity to share in the joy at Pinky Bakery, where simplicity reigns supreme.

    Pinky Bakery’s offerings at BaseHall 02 include hand-crafted bagels such as Pesto Tomato Bagel (HK$32), Black Sesame Walnut Bagel (HK$32), and Chorizo Cheese Bagel (HK$35), as well as muffins such as Banana Earl Grey Muffin (HK$32) and Taro Mochi Muffin (HK$28).  Bagels can also be enjoyed as sandwiches for a quick and indulgent bite, including Smoked Salmon Avocado Bagel (HK$58) and Bacon Sour Cream Bagel (HK$58). Savor alongside chocolate almond cookies and a bottle of fresh juice.

    NOCINO AT BASEHALL 01

    Nocino, nestled in the charming neighborhood of Tai Hang, is a culinary haven that marries traditional Swiss-Italian flavors with a contemporary twist. With a focus on using premium ingredients sourced locally and from parts of Italy and Switzerland, Nocino offers a sophisticated dining experience, whether it’s savoring homemade pasta dishes, or an exquisite selection of Italian and Swiss wines.

    Now at BaseHall 01, Nocino invites guests to immerse themselves in the homely flavors of its kitchen, starting with appetisers such as Wagyu Beef Tartare (HK$68) with raw wagyu, roasted celeriac, milk garlic aioli and crispy potato, and Hermina’s Barley Soup (HK$58) with smoked speck, root vegetables and pearl barley, among other delights.

    Main dishes include options of pastas such as Casarecce (HK$128), a brown crab cacio e pepe, Pappardelle (HK$118), featuring eight-hour beef cheek and pickled walnut ragu, Gigli (HK$108), a vegetarian pasta with basil and parsley pesto and cheese foam, and Reginette (HK$108), featuring a spicy pork nduja with mascarpone and lemon. Round off the meal with Nocino’s signature dessert, Odette Tiramisu (HK$58).

    Guests may also combine starters, main courses, dessert and a drink with Nocino’s various combo deals that are exclusive to BaseHall 01, starting from HK$158 for a starter and a main.

    As a place to celebrate Hong Kong and its homegrown talents, BaseHall 01 and 02 continues to experiment with brave new culinary ideas and events, championing the food and people that make one of the world’s greatest cities so unique.
