This year, despite the pandemic, ThinkWine has successfully launched a series of pop-ups by Hong Kong’s most popular restaurants such as 11 Westside, AwaAwa, Censu and more, where chefs showcased takeover-exclusive snacks to pair with ThinkWine’s exceptional selection of wines for one night at a time. ThinkWine is pleased to announce the latest schedule of restaurant/chef takeovers coming up from April until July 2022.
Each restaurant will pop up at ThinkWine from 12pm-6pm during April, serving 6 special snacks (ranging from HK$60 – HK$150 per snack) and a combo set to pair with ThinkWine’s specially curated selection of wines. After dining restrictions lift from 21st April onwards, the restaurant takeovers will commence at 6pm until 10pm. The takeover schedule is as below:
Bedu will kick off the takeover series on Saturday, 16th April, with Chef Corey Riches serving up snacks inspired by his contemporary vision of Middle Eastern cuisine, followed by Roots Eatery, a Cantonese-French neighborhood bistro headed by Chef Stephanie Wong on 30th April. OBP headlines the first ThinkWine takeover of May, a staunch SoHo favorite for casual Korean “sool-jip” gastropub fare led by Chef Junwoo Choi.
On 18th May, Israeli chef Asher Goldstein of Francis will dish out ingredients-driven bites that are reminiscent of the vibrant flavors of the Middle East, while the natural wine experts at the ever-trendy Interval on 8th June will introduce elevated comfort food inspired by local flavors around the world. In late June, creative Indian restaurant Pondi takes the stage at ThinkWine, followed by responsibly-sourced seafood specialist Percy led by Chef Braden Rearden.
The restaurant takeover series offer guests a fun new way to kick back and relax in a lively ambience, with the chance to socialise with fellow food and wine lovers.
