New Refreshing Summer Pastries & Celebration Cake
This hot summer season, Date by TATE unveils a series of fruity summer pastries and a new celebration cake by Head Pastry Chef Graf Kwok. Delicate new pastry creations include An Ode to Citrus (HK$150), a trio of three lemon-shaped pound cakes featuring the best of summer lemons and yuzu zest. Packaged within a chic wooden box, the cakes are first baked, soaked with a citrus syrup, then coated with a sweet and zesty lemon icing to finish.
The light and refreshing Mango & Lime Tart Box (HK$106) introduces Date by Tate’s first vegan-friendly pastry. The luscious tarts are created with almond pastry, lime Victoria sponge, mango compote, mango honey soy cream, and summer’s ripest mangoes. Each box comes with a set of two tarts.
Finally, Chef Graf Kwok previously designed a special East-meets-West celebration cake in collaboration with Hong Kong Tourism Board for its “Art of Flavors” campaign. Back by popular demand this summer, the Ode to Chinese Lattice Window (HK$480) is an artistic expression of Chinese culture with high aesthetic value, depicting the traditional Chinese lattice pattern that is commonly used throughout Chinese architectural history. Perfect to share among 3-4 guests, the minimalist celebration cake is created with a light sesame sponge, black sesame mousse, yuzu cremeux, and white and black crunchy sesame.
