• Bangkok’s celebrated Chef Chalee Kader brings the bold flavours of Wana Yook to Andō in Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s one MICHELIN-starred Andō welcomes Bangkok’s one MICHELIN-starred Wana Yook for an exclusive two-night collaboration on 6 and 7 October, bringing together Executive Chef Agustin Ferrando Balbi and Thai-Indian Chef Chalee Kader. Centred on the theme of Fire Meets Water, the specially curated tasting menu contrasts Kader’s bold Thai flavours, aromatic spices and heat with Balbi’s seafood-driven creations and lighter, citrus-led preparations, reflecting the chefs’ individual culinary identities.

Highlights include Wana Yook’s Kao Soi, a contemporary take on northern Thailand’s curry noodles, and Tom Jiw of Scallops, featuring a warming broth infused with beetroot, sweet potato and holy basil. From Andō, guests can look forward to Coral Grouper, Seaweed, Crêpe and Maitake, served with an aonori, butter and Champagne sauce, alongside a dessert of Air Chocolate, Coconut and Dulce de Leche. Priced at HK$2,580 + 10% per guest, the Hong Kong dinners mark the first chapter of a two-city exchange, with the chefs reuniting at Wana Yook in Bangkok on 15 October.
