This summer season, one MICHELIN-starred and MICHELIN Green-starred Roganic Hong Kong will bring back its popular baking classes throughout the month of August. Led by Roganic’s award-winning team of chefs headed by Chef Ashley Salmon, the baking classes will be held three times per week, with one class on Wednesdays and two classes on Sundays.
Each class will feature a hands-on cooking tutorial for the restaurant’s famous soda bread and apple tart, while the beverage team will demonstrate how to make a fermented kombucha drink from scratch. Typically served with brown cultured English butter, Roganic’s signature Irish soda bread is light, airy and a cult-favourite among its guests. The other dish, Simon Rogan’s apple tart, features a perfect pastry base topped with paper-thin ribbons of slow-cooked apples and a buttery and decadent caramel sauce. Before or after the baking course, guests will enjoy a 3-course lunch, and at the end of the day, guests will be able to take their final creations home.
“We first introduced our baking class during the lock-down periods in Hong Kong and it was such a success. It was amazing to see the passion displayed by our guests and students who were really into baking, therefore we decided to bring back this fun activity this summer season.” says Ashley Salmon.
Available dates for Roganic’s baking series include 2, 6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, and 30 August.
