    <<25th June 2024 – Hong Kong>> On 16th July 2024, Rosewood Hong Kong is set to host the prestigious Asia’s 50 Best Bars Awards Ceremony for the second consecutive year. Considered the pinnacle of achievement in Asia’s dynamic bar industry, the 50 Best Bars Awards is an event that celebrates excellence and innovation within the region’s bar scene. In celebration of this annual occasion, Rosewood Hong Kong has curated a series of three exclusive events to showcase the best of Asian hospitality and melting pot of cultures, cuisines and, of course, exciting cocktail culture in Holt’s CaféHENRYDarkSide and a soon to announce special event at XX.

    HOLT’S CAFÉ X KENG ENG KEE TAKEOVER – 15-17 JULY

    One signature event features Singapore’s Keng Eng Kee’s pop-up at Holt’s Café, showcasing Singapore’s most iconic seafood establishment in Hong Kong on 15 July for dinner, and 16-17 July for both lunch and dinner. With a legacy spanning three generations since its establishment in 1970, Keng Eng Kee Seafood is a MICHELIN recommended culinary institution in Singapore known for its traditional and contemporary seafood creations led by Chef Wayne Liew, with front of house led by Paul Liew. Showcasing a total of 8 special a la carte dishes, highlights of the pop-up menu include signature dishes from Keng Eng Kee such as Claypot Pork Liver Rice (HK$188), Coffee Pork Ribs (HK$228), the renowned Moonlight HorFun (HK$268), Chili Crab Meat with Man Tou (market price), Deep Fried Goby with Keng Eng Kee’s special sauce (HK$428) and more.

    HENRY X BURNT ENDS BAR TAKEOVER – 14-15 JULY

    Next, guests can indulge in Burnt Ends Bar pop-up at HENRY American steakhouse on 14-15 July from 6pm onwards. Burnt Ends Bar, situated next to its eponymous eatery Burnt Ends in Singapore’s Dempsey Hill, is renowned for its innovative drinks from its “Signature Series” and a unique snacks menu. Notable among the pop-up offerings (a total of 5 cocktails) by bartenders Louis Tan and Edwin Lopez that perfectly complement the succulent American steaks and sides at HENRY include the Blackened Eggplant Punch, with notes of eggplant puree, pomelo and Oolong tea, white rum, and lemon; The Stocky Dog, a refreshing mix of Mirepoix vodka, tarragon bouquet Garni cordial, and clarified grapefruit juice; Sencha Milk Punch, a vibrant option featuring KinoTea gin, Merlet Peach liqueur, maple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and Sencha cold brew and more. All cocktails will be priced at HK160 + 10%.

    DARKSIDE x WAX ON BERLIN BAR TAKEOVER – 14-15 JULY

    Wax On Berlin cocktail bar (new entry at #29 on World’s 50 Best Bars 2023) will be popping up at DarkSide (#9 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023) on 14-15 July from 8:30pm to 11:30pm, featuring guest appearances by Wax On’s Owner and Director, Sam Orrock, and Bar Manager Guste Paliukaite. Sam Orrock, a seasoned professional in the industry hailing from Nottingham, currently operates Wax On Berlin. Together with Paliukaite, they have created a bar which has quickly become considered one of the best in Germany and will now bring their expertise and creativity to DarkSide Hong Kong for the first time. The offering is accessible, but by no means basic – the bar houses its laboratory in the basement and this is where the magic happens, with cocktails assembled and garnished at the bar. Guests will be able to savour five of their award-winning cocktails offered at HK$180+10% each.

    On 16 – 17 July, DarkSide will be showcasing its signature themed Yin & Yang menu together with its Classics Menu.
