[15th May 2026 – Hong Kong] BaseHall 02 continues to expand its ever-evolving culinary line-up this spring / summer season with the arrival of three new concepts spanning artisanal desserts, wellness-driven beverages, and nostalgic Hong Kong café fare. Rejoining the food hall this month are Snack Baby, a rotating gelato pop-up running until the end of August, protein-focused beverage brand 3721 Nutrition until the end of July, and newly joined Tai On Coffee & Tea Shop, which now joins the BaseHall 02 line-up on an ongoing basis. Together, the new additions reflect BaseHall’s continued focus on showcasing a diverse mix of emerging local concepts and modern takes on comfort-driven dining.
Tai On Coffee & Tea Shop at BaseHall 02 (ongoing)
Originally established in Kowloon in 1969, Tai On Coffee & Tea Shop brings a nostalgic cha chaan teng-inspired concept to BaseHall 02, blending classic Hong Kong comfort food with a more contemporary presentation. The brand’s identity centres around preserving familiar local flavours while adapting them for modern dining habits, reflected in its motto, “Change for Continuity.”
The menu features a mix of Hong Kong-style rice dishes, baked rice, curries and Western café-inspired plates. Lunch highlights include Chicken Thigh in Signature Cream Sauce on Rice (HK$88), Scallion Oil Chicken Thigh with Two Fried Eggs on Rice (HK$88) served with sweet soy sauce, Beef Short Ribs in Hong Kong Style Curry Sauce on Rice (HK$88), and Prawn in Homemade XO Cream Sauce on Rice (HK$88).
The evening menu expands further with dishes such as Australian Niksan Wagyu M5 Picanha Steak with Fries and Vegetables (HK$228) and Hong Kong Style Roasted Half Chicken (HK$138). Both lunch and dinner sets are served with house cold brew teas including Lemon Da Hong Pao and Milky Oolong.
Snack Baby Pop-Up at BaseHall 02 (until end of August)
Known for its playful flavour combinations and small-batch gelato made with premium ingredients, Snack Baby arrives at BaseHall 02 as a limited-time pop-up through the end of August. The concept rotates flavours regularly, blending nostalgic snack inspirations with more ingredient-driven seasonal creations.
Current highlights include Darjeeling Banana Honeycomb (LF), Matcha with Toasted White Choc (LF), Pistachio Crunch (AF/N), Strawberry Moon (AF), Smoky Vanilla (LF), Passion Choco Tango (LF), Malt Teasers, and FDL (LF), with flavours available by the scoop in a Gelato Cup (HK$68), Waffle Cone (+HK$10), Waffle Cup (+HK$15), or Cookie Cup (+HK$25).
For those looking to bring the experience home, larger takeaway formats include 500ml tubs (HK$248) and 1L tubs (HK$388). The pop-up also offers dessert-style beverages including the Affogato (HK$78) and Coconut Espresso Frostie (HK$58), further leaning into Snack Baby’s playful, café-inspired approach to frozen desserts.
3721 Nutrition at BaseHall 02 (until end of July)
Following its earlier debut within the BaseHall ecosystem, 3721 Nutrition now re-joins BaseHall 02 with its wellness-focused menu of protein-rich drinks and snacks inspired by Hong Kong beverage culture. Founded on the principle of making nutrition more accessible and enjoyable, the concept combines whey protein, collagen, tea, coffee and café-style flavours into a menu designed for both convenience and everyday functionality.
The menu spans several categories, including refreshing collagen electrolyte sodas such as Sparkling Lychee Oolong, Pink Grapefruit and Salty Lemon (HK$45 each), alongside richer protein-based drinks including Foam Jasmine Green, Foam Rich Black Tea and Protein Coffee. Matcha Protein Latte (HK$52), Hojicha Protein Milk (HK$52), Ovaltine Protein Chocolate (HK$52) and Purple Sweet Potato Latte (HK$50) offer more substantial options, each built around high-protein formulations.
The concept also introduces protein-focused snacks and bagels, including the Bagel with Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese (HK$65), Sous-Vide Chicken & Avocado Bagel (HK$65), High-Protein Chicken Breast Siu Mai (HK$38), and High-Protein Granola with Yogurt (HK$38). Combo sets ranging from HK$58 to HK$108 allow guests to pair drinks with snacks or bagels for a more complete meal experience.
As a place to celebrate Hong Kong and its homegrown talents, BaseHall 01 and 02 continues to experiment with brave new culinary ideas and events, championing the food and people that make one of the world’s greatest cities so unique.
