<<1st August, 2024 – Hong Kong>> One MICHELIN Starred and MICHELIN Green Starred Roganic Hong Kong is set to close its doors at Sino Plaza in Causeway Bay on 15th September 2024, in preparation for its relocation later in Hong Kong Island this year in November – December 2024 with a complete new look and new innovative menu approach. Aulis Hong Kong, Simon Rogan’s chef’s table concept, will also close and will re-open in 2025. Further information will be released closer to the relaunch.
To mark the end of an era at its current address, which served as the backdrop for the restaurant’s prestigious accolades, including being the first restaurant in Hong Kong to be awarded a MICHELIN Green Star, and numerous chef collaborations, Roganic Hong Kong is unveiling two special menus that showcase its most iconic dishes from over the past five years, that will not appear on the new menu in the new location.
“It has been an incredible five years at Sino Plaza in Causeway Bay for Roganic Hong Kong and Aulis Hong Kong and I cannot be prouder of all the achievements and accolades both restaurants have accomplished over the years. When we first opened all these years ago, we couldn’t even begin to imagine what we could achieve. But with everything in life, the time has come to change things up a little, and after five years, we gained a great understanding of the city and our customers. So with Roganic 2.0, we will have the opportunity to adjust our offering to an ever-evolving Hong Kong audience and are very excited to push the boundaries even further in the years to come,” says Simon Rogan.
Farewell ‘Best Of’ Tasting Menus: A Tribute to Roganic Hong Kong’s Finest Dishes Over 5 Years
In an ode to time-honoured favourites, the two new menus feature a lineup of iconic dishes reflecting the history of Roganic Hong Kong that will never be served again in the new location. The first Best Of Menu I will be available from 6th August – 25th August, while the second Best Of Menu II will run from 27th August until Roganic Hong Kong’s final day on 15th September at Sino Plaza. Guests can choose between a Short Tasting Menu (HK$780+10%) and a Full Tasting Menu (HK$1,180+10%) for dinner, while the Lunch Tasting Menu (HK$420+10%) will be available for lunch. ABOUT SIMON ROGAN MBE
Simon Rogan MBE is an internationally renowned, award-winning chef, recognised as one of the pioneers of the farm-to-table movement. In 2002, Simon opened his debut restaurant L’Enclume in The Lake District village of Cartmel, with a focus on hyperlocal and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant currently holds three Michelin stars as well as the top ranking in La Liste with Simon Rogan being the first British chef to achieve this.
Simon opened Rogan & Co, his second venture in Cartmel in 2008 which won its first Michelin star in 2018. In 2011, Simon established Our Farm in The Lakes, which provides the restaurant group with high quality, sustainable produce. In 2016, Simon launched Aulis Cartmel, a six-seater chef’s table experience adjoining L’Enclume. A London outpost of Aulis arrived in 2017 as a standalone 12-seater chef’s table in central Soho, which was awarded its first Michelin star in 2024.
Simon expanded his restaurant portfolio to Hong Kong, opening Aulis in January 2019 and Roganic in February 2019. Roganic Hong Kong was awarded its first Michelin star in December 2019. In October 2019, Simon opened Henrock, an informally elegant restaurant set within Linthwaite House, a contemporary country house hotel in the heart of the Lake District.
In 2020, in response to the global pandemic, the group launched Home by Simon Rogan, a delivery offering providing three-course ‘at home’ dining experiences created in The Lakes. In 2021, Simon’s efforts towards sustainability were recognised with the newly introduced Michelin green star, awarded to both L’Enclume and Roganic Hong Kong. In 2022, Simon opened a Hong Kong based bakery and restaurant The Baker & The Bottleman, and in the same year L’Enclume was awarded its third Michelin star, the first restaurant in the north of England to do so. This coincided with the group celebrating 20 years since Simon opened L’Enclume. In early 2023, he expanded his portfolio to Valletta, Malta with the opening of ION Harbour by Simon Rogan, and in 2024 the restaurant became the first ever restaurant on the island to be awarded with two Michelin Stars. In December 2023 the group expanded into Thailand, with the opening of Aulis Phuket.
In 2023, ‘A Day at Our Farm’ welcomed its first guests, Simon’s seasonal, al fresco dining experience located on Our Farm, and awarded Best Farm to Table restaurant at the 2024 Good Food Guide awards, and runs throughout the warmer months, In 2023, Simon was recognised with a top accolade at the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards, and is currently vice president of the Bocuse d’Or UK team. In 2024, Simon was awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list for his services to the food industry.

About Aulis Hong Kong
Aulis provides a truly unique ‘behind the scenes’ experience of the fine dining institutions, L’Enclume and Roganic. Aulis is a multi-functional hi-tech space and creative hub that acts as a development kitchen utilised by chefs to explore new dishes and cooking techniques, but also an exclusive, intimate and interactive private dining room for guests. In Aulis, guests can have the first try of dishes before they arrive onto the menus in a unique preview to the chef’s innovative work. The Aulis experience is completely personalised, depending on the group size and involves a complete surrender to the creativity of the chefs. The Aulis experience aims to expand the culinary horizons of guests, with sometimes challenging or out of the box dishes for certain palates, but it remains a truly uncompromising foodie experience. The space is named Aulis as a tribute to Aulis Lehtimaki, a Finnish chef and artist who was a key collaborator in the early days of Simon’s Michelin star restaurant L’Enclume, and the concept also exists in that restaurant.
Aulis Hong Kong is Simon’s first overseas stand-alone dining destination in Asia with just 12 seats, acting as the creative hub for his Hong Kong team of chefs and offering diners the opportunity to immerse themselves in Rogan’s culinary vision first hand and be challenged to taste original and innovative dishes.

About Roganic Hong Kong:
Roganic Hong Kong is Simon Rogan’s one Michelin star restaurant located in the centre of Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay, and which opened in 2019 with Oli Marlow as Executive Chef and Ash Salmon as Head Chef. Awarded its first star just ten months after opening, the restaurant shines a light on local and sustainable ingredients, offering a city-centric take on farm-to-table dining. Within the space, guests will find a big kitchen counter; a destination bar (with seasonal cocktails) as well as a number of multifunctional private dining rooms.
