    <<7th December 2020 – Hong Kong>> Hong Kong’s favourite health-conscious bakery, The Cakery introduces to its ever-growing range of offerings new vegan and non-vegan bakery pastries and super-fluffy dairy-free cotton cakes. With all diets and lifestyles in mind, the new range of takeaway-friendly baked goods provide a delicious and guilt-free way to indulge over the coming holidays.

    “One of our aims at The Cakery is to give a sense of inclusion for all occasions,” says The Cakery founder, Shirley Kwok. “I hope the introduction of these ingredient-conscious treats offer more people with dietary restrictions the chance to join in on festive occasions with loved ones this year.”

     

    The Cakery’s Newly Launched Cotton Cakes

    The Cakery introduces a new range of Japanese-style “cotton” cakes with a health-conscious spin. Cotton cakes follow a similar recipe to the traditional chiffon cake but can be baked in a regular pan. To the delight of cake lovers, the resulting texture is soft, moist, light, and ultra-fluffy when torn apart.

    The Chocolate Cotton Cake (HK$480 for 590g) is both gluten-free and dairy-free, containing organic cane sugar, cocoa powder, almond flour, chocolate crisps, and shimmering gold leaves for garnish. The dairy-free Caramel Cotton Cake (HK$480 for 560g) features caramel, almond milk, and all-organic ingredients where possible, whilst the Black Sesame Cotton Cake (HK$480 for 590g) is gluten-free, dairy-free and contains plenty of superfood such as almond and charcoal. The dairy-free Blueberry Cotton Cake (HK$480) is also packed with blueberry and acai fruit superfoods, in addition to vegan white chocolate and almond milk.

     

    The Cakery’s New Range of Bakery Pastries

    The Cakery offers plenty of grab and go options for those on the move, including a range of freshly baked pastries from its bakery. New sweet and savory options include vegan pastries such as Spinach Mushroom (HK$38), Impossible Tomato Danish (HK$42) with peeled tomatoes and Impossible meat, and Pain Aux Raisins (HK$30). The new non-vegan option on offer is Ham & Cheese Croissant (HK$36) with flavorful ham and crisp Emmental cheese.

     

    The Cakery’s Dine-in and Takeaway Vegan Christmas Afternoon Tea

    Celebrate the holiday season with The Cakery’s delightfully decadent Christmas Afternoon Tea (HK$598) experience, packed with premium ingredients and wholesome, hearty flavors. Served within a fairy-lit box designed like a Christmas advent calendar for dine-in guests, the set is also available for takeaway in a bow-wrapped picnic basket.

    The vegan Christmas Afternoon Tea experience begins with savory bites of Vegan Chickpea Sandwich with Homemade Mayo and Impossible Meatball with Bell Pepper Puree. Move on to the anticipated sweet baked goods including Snowman Chocolate and Santa Chocolate made with vegan chocolate and apple crumble cake, Chocolate Dreamers with coconut cream, pistachio, and Day Dreamer Cake, Passion Fruit Tart made with vegan butter, almond flour, dairy-free cream, and soy milk, Mini Vegan Cupcakes, and sumptuous Scones created with golden flaxseed meal and organic cane sugar.
