    <<19th October, 2016 – Hong Kong>> With a history that dates back to 1621 when English pilgrims at Plymouth Plantation feasted with local Native Americans to celebrate a successful farming season, Thanksgiving in America can be seen as the equivalent to Christmas for the rest of the world. Even though President George Washington was the first to make a formal proclamation towards a day of thanksgiving in 1789, Thanksgiving was only established as a national holiday 74 years later through the efforts of Abraham Lincoln. At Stone Nullah Tavern, Thanksgiving has become a hallmark holiday celebrated with religious reverence. Occurring on the fourth Thursday of November, we bring you a classic American meal that pays homage to a slice of history.

    Exclusively from November 21 to 27, Stone Nullah Tavern will be serving a special Thanksgiving dinner menu crafted by New England born Executive Chef Vinny Lauria. The hearty menu includes a Seafood Platter accompanied by a choice of Garlic Butter Roasted Turkey or Southern Fried Turkey with savory black pepper & Bourbon gravy. On the side, you will have the chance to palate a Caramelized Onion, Apple & Cheddar Stuffing, Pulled Pork Rib Mac n’ Cheese and so much more. Finally, indulge your sweet tooth with mouth-watering desserts like Skillet Apple Crumble and Skillet Smores. To fully embrace the holiday spirit, we will be offering free-flow drink options at $198 per head for Prosecco, red/white wines and house spirits with mixers or $308 per head for champagne, craft bear, premium wine and house spirits with mixers.

    If you prefer to celebrate Thanksgiving in the comfort of your own home, Stone Nullah Tavern has also prepared a Thanksgiving TV Dinner for 1 that is served hot but can be microwaved if you decide to dine later. Start your meal with a Cheddar Biscuit and continue feasting with the restaurant’s Garlic Butter Roasted Turkey with black pepper & bourbon gravy and cranberry marmalade. You also have the chance to indulge on the same delicious sides offered to guests when they dine in at Stone Nullah Tavern. Finally, cap off your meal at home with a warm and luxurious homemade Apple Crumble.

    About Vinny Lauria, Executive Chef and Partner:

    Born and raised in New England, Vinny Lauria spent time building his culinary career in New Hampshire, Colorado and New York.  He moved to Hong Kong in 2010 whereby he was previously working in the renowned Babbo Ristorante in New York City at the legendary Mario Batali’s flagship Italian restaurant and more formerly as the Executive Chef of 208 Duecento Otto whereby he has achieved “Best New Restaurant” Award in Time Out Hong Kong and Hong Kong Magazine within 6 months. Vinny is a partner and group executive for Homegrown, overseeing all the kitchen operations for Posto Pubblico, Linguini Fini, Stone Nullah Tavern.

    Vinny is known in the city as the Chef who developed the concept of “rustic Italian cuisine” and “nose to tail” eating which has been proved popular amongst the local and expatriate crowd in Hong Kong.
