<<3rd April, 2020 – Hong Kong>> Part of JIA Group’s portfolio of award-winning restaurants, contemporary French MONO is led by Chef Ricardo Chaneton, formerly the Head Chef of 3-Michelin-starred Mirazur (no.1, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019). As a response to the current pandemic, Mono is proud to present a new spin-off concept STEREO BY MONO, available now for delivery on JIA Everywhere.
The alter ego of MONO, STEREO BY MONO provides a family-style dining experience for groups of three to four people. While guests dining in at MONO enjoy a singular ingredients-driven tasting menu, STEREO BY MONO provides five choices of take-out sets made to share in the comforts of home, inspired by Chef Ricardo’s multicultural experiences throughout his life and career.
“It is a hard time to everyone; I want to lighten up spirits with honest, comforting food that people can enjoy at home,” said Chef Ricardo. “The experience might be different to what they get when dining at MONO in person, but STEREO is prepared by the same team with the same passion and vision – to bring good memories and good times.”
Stereo by Mono: 5 Sharing-Style Sets Available for Delivery
STEREO BY MONO’s contemporary French set menus use only the finest seasonal ingredients on the market, with dishes influenced by Chef Ricardo Chaneton’s South American upbringing and classical French training. The first three sets are French-inspired, while the latter two are Latin American-inspired.
French-inspired Food Sets for Delivery (serves 3 – 4 people)
Set I (HK$1,680) is a 4-course menu featuring dishes such as asparagus salad with citrus and mascarpone dressing, lentil ragout, stuffed French quail with mushrooms and petit pois and chocolate mousse.
Set II (HK$1,280) features 4-courses of family-style modern French fare such as French onion soup with toasted sourdough and comte, boeuf bourguignon with tagliatelle and lemon tart.
Set III (HK$1,580) is a signature feast of pork head terrine, quinoa sourdough with Aberquina olive oil, veal blanquette, basmati rice and choux farcis. All French-inspired menus come with Chef Ricardo’s famous, freshly baked madeleines to finish.
Latin America-inspired Food Sets for Delivery (serves 3 – 4 people)
While his formative training took place at some of the finest French Michelin-starred restaurants in the world, Ricardo Chaneton’s first real encounter with food was his family’s hearty home-cooked meals whilst growing up in Venezuela. Born into a multicultural family with an Italian mother and Venezuelan father, Ricardo’s earliest memories of food are filled with South American flavours.
Set I (HK$1,680) features arepas, a traditional soft corn bread, with confit carabinero, avocado, South American-style whole roasted chicken, steamed manioc and chimichurri, house-made mole sauce and alfajor with dulce de leche.
Set II (HK$1,280) is a delectable spread of quinoa salad with leche de tigre, corn crepe (“cachapa”) with halloumi cheese, South American chicken rice, pico de gallo and choco-cookie cake.

STEREO BY MONO sets are available for pick-up at MONO and delivery from Monday to Saturday, 9am – 6pm. Delivery is free within Hong Kong island with a minimum spend of HK$800, and deliveries to Kowloon and New Territories is subject to HK$200 service charge with a minimum spend of HK$800. Once purchased, refunds or cancellations are not allowed. Due to the sustainable ethos held by MONO, cutlery will not be provided.
