<<1st April, 2021 – Hong Kong>> SMOKE & BARREL, the first authentic American smokehouse & barbecue joint to grace Hong Kong’s dining scene, introduces an all-new American Barbecue Eating challenge and invites guests to “Conquer the Beast” – if they dare. Those rising to the challenge will go head-to-head with a platter of Smoke & Barrel signatures straight out of the Beast (S&B’s authentic wood-fired smoker) such as ribs, brisket, and pulled pork, complemented by crowd-favorite sides and a hearty American dessert to finish.
“Conquer the Beast” Eating Competition
Available every night during dinner (6pm-10pm) starting from 1st April 2021, Smoke & Barrel’s “Conquer the Beast” eating challenge is certainly not for the faint-hearted. The chock-full BBQ platter to be conquered includes ½ rack of ribs, 3 squares of corn bread, 1 bowl of beans, 300g of brisket, 400g of pulled pork, 1 bowl of French fries, and 1 mud pie sundae. Should the contestant finish the platter and win, he or she will receive a dining voucher worth HK$1,000 for their next visit, a shiny engraved plaque on the wall, and also receive the competition platter for free. Those who fail the challenge will be subject to the bill of HK$800 per platter. To take on this challenge, the minimum required participants is 1 person only, and advanced reservations must be made via phone or email to the restaurant.
