<<22nd August, 2017 – Hong Kong>> In light of the tragic events that took place in Barcelona and Cambrils on the 17th of August, La Paloma has rallied forces to support their beloved countrymen. A display of undying support and love towards their home country, 12 chefs from Hong Kong and Philippines’s esteemed Spanish restaurants and the Spanish Chefs Association in Asia will lend their expertise to support those in need. After hearing about the horrific terrorist attacks on the people in Spain’s Catalonia region. Despite the heartbreaking reason behind this non-profit dinner, the participating chefs hope to celebrate Spanish culture through cuisine to display their strong and unwavering Spanish spirit, something that will not be crushed.
On the evening of 29 August from 6pm onwards, La Paloma will host a non-profit dinner, “A Dinner For Barcelona”. Priced at HK$400 per guest for food only and an addition HK$200 for free-flow drinks, 100% of the event’s profits will be made towards a non-profit association of Barcelona. Guests who make a reservation through La Paloma will get the chance to enjoy a family style eight-course tapas menu + two desserts with an optional free-flowing Wine, Beer, Sangria, Spanish Cava and soft drinks.

“Trinxat” Potato and Iberico Pork Cake with Prawns
“Callos” Pork Stew with Chickpeas, Ham and Chorizo
“Fricando” Traditional Catalan stew, Ox tongue and mushrooms
Vanila Cream with “Ninyoyakis”, Passion Fruit and Cardamom
“The recent terrorist attacks on Barcelona and Cambrils have deeply saddened me. When I heard that my home country had been brutally attacked, I was immensely worried about my family, friends and the people living in those areas. Through this non-profit dinner, I hope that we will be able to do our part to support. Through a medium that I love so much, I hope to use food to unite people for this important cause,” said Executive Chef & Partner, Alex Fargas.
