<<22nd December, 2016 – Hong Kong>> Korea’s premium restaurant brand that currently carries two existing chicken restaurants in Korea, Hwaggudak and Dodam Chicken, will launch its first restaurant in Hong Kong, serving both baked and fried chicken. Hwaggudak, established in 2011, gained success due to its status as the country’s first restaurant to serve chicken baked in a pizza oven. Spurred by popular demand and the Korean culture’s infatuation with crispy chicken, Dodam Chicken was launched in May 2016 in Korea with a menu featuring delicious fried chicken. Now, brought to Hong Kong for the first time, DODAM CHICKEN or “classic” chicken will continue to live up to the legacy of its Korean counterparts with golden crispy skin, succulently tender meat and an aroma that tantalizes.
Nestled on the 18/F of Lee Theatre, Causeway Bay, the interior décor and ambiance were painstakingly crafted by the MAPLE Design Consultant Engineering Limited. The restaurant’s casual dining concept embodies the Korean culture’s emphasis on the shared enjoyment of good food. With design experience curated over the years from bringing other restaurant concepts to life, MAPLE Design has transformed the 3,578 sq. ft. of space into a modern and welcoming environment for socializing and catching-up with the ones you love.
As leaders in the new trend of healthy and nutritious crispy chicken, Dodam Chicken strives to treat guests to delicious chicken that is aligned with the goals of a wellness-diet. Each bite of crunchy chicken encompasses the flavors of 27 special herbs and is prepared using three different processes: baked in a pizza oven, roasted in an oven and fried for a crunchy exterior texture. Cooked in a radiant heat of over 400 degrees centigrade, any extraneous fat is immediately removed, leaving delectable pieces of lean and tender chicken. Amazing chicken flavor options include the Hwaduck Original Chicken (HK$178), Sweet & Spicy Chicken (HK$185), Golden Crispy Fried Chicken (HK$178), Golden Finger (HK$178) and Crunch Spicy Chicken (HK$185) and more. In addition to the premium crispy chicken, Dodam Chicken also provides a global variety of delights such as the Gorgonzola Pizza (HK$128), Spicy Seafood Udon Tang (HK$175) and Topokki Carbonara (HK$148).
Unique Korean-styled beverages like the Strawberry Ade, Honey Yuzu Tea and Mojito Rita quench your thirst and perfectly compliment each dish. In addition, Dodam Chicken serves a selection of premium coffee for caffeine fanatics: Hazelnut Latte, Milk Tea Latte and Green Tea Latte to name a few. For a sweet ending to your meal, order dessert items like the Caramel Biscuit Ice Cream or the Mango Sorbet.
Dodam Chicken has officially open its doors on 19 December and will be open everyday from 1130am to 1130pm for guests to enjoy crunchy Korean chicken and other delicious traditional delights.
