Following the announcement of its newly re-acquired 1 Michelin star, Duddell’s continues to innovate modern Cantonese fine dining with new menus for Chinese New Year. In a festive showcase 

    of newly appointed dual Executive Chef Li Man-Lung and Dim Sum Chef Lau Chi-Man’s combined expertise, Duddell’s unveils limited-time a la carte specials, dim sum selections and two 6-course set menus. 

    Chinese New Year Puddings Available from now until the end of January 2020 (with early-bird prices ending on 10th January), Duddell’s will introduce 2 types of classic Chinese New Year Puddings. For those with a sweet tooth, indulge in the traditional Sweet Pudding with Coconut Milk (HK$298 per box) or for those who prefer savoury, the traditional Turnip Pudding with Chinese Cured Sausages, Conpoy and Fried Shrimps (HK$348 per box). All New Year puddings are made in house with no added preservatives, presented in special edition boxes designed by G.O.D (Goods of Desire). The box bears a Chinese New Year blessing and features hand-drawn traditional patterns of Chinese tea-cups and soup bowls honouring Hong Kong’s heritage. 

    Chinese New Year Specials: Dim Sum Selections Dim sum takes on prosperous new heights this Chinese New Year with Chef Lau’s holiday- exclusive menu. New dim sum additions by Chef Lau include Bamboo Pith Dumpling (HK$88 per 3 pcs) with black truffle, Pan-fried New Year Cake (HK$68 per plate), and Lobster Dumpling with XO Sauce (HK$78 per pc). 

    Chinese New Year A la Carte Specials Chef Li has added festive new dishes such as Braised South African Abalone 5 Heads (HK$588 per person) with shiitake mushroom, served with stuffed bamboo pith and seasonal vegetables, Steamed Chicken Fillet (HK$298 per half, HK$598 per whole) with savoury Jinhua ham and shrimp paste, Fried Glutinous Rice with Air-dried Meat (HK$288) and Braised Pig Trotter (HK$328). 

    Special Chinese New Year Set Menus To ring in the Year of the Rat, Chef Li also introduces 2 new set menus that bring flavour and fortune starting from 13th January – 8th February, 2020.

    Pan-fried local sun-dried oyster, osmanthus honey, crispy rice – Double-boiled conch, South African abalone, chicken, yam, wolfberries – Steamed garoupa, egg white, caviar – Steamed chicken fillet, Jinhua ham, shrimp paste – Braised shiitake mushroom, supreme oyster sauce; Stuffed bamboo pith, seasonal vegetables – Duddell’s Dessert Platter HK$1,088 + 10% per guest 

    “The Year of Wealth” menu is priced at HK$1088+10% per guest, featuring a medley of Duddell’s popular appetisers such as Sauteed Prawn, Asparagus, Duddell’s Signature XO Sauce and Crispy Suckling Pig, Foie Gras, Caviar, and nourishing soup of Double Boiled Conch with South African abalone, chicken, yam and wolfberries. Other delectable highlights include Steamed Garoupa, Braised Shiitake Mushroom and the concluding dessert platter of Duddell’s favourite sweet Cantonese creations.

    “The Year of Prosperity” menu is priced at HK$1,688 + 10% per guest and is the ultimate experience of premium Cantonese ingredients. From the Duddell’s appetiser selection to Double Boiled Whole Papaya, Chicken, Fish Maw soup, hearty Stuffed Pigeon with foie gras, and Imperial Bird’s Nest with almond cream and sesame dumpling, the menu is filled with traditional delights infused with Chef Li’s modern flair.
