Kinship unveils special Thanksgiving dinner, weekend brunch & takeaway menus

<<8th September 2020 – Hong Kong>> KINSHIP, the charming neighborhood restaurant co-venture by chef friends Chris Grare and Arron Rhodes, celebrates Thanksgiving this year with traditional American brunch and dinner menus. In the US, Thanksgiving Day is typically celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November – a holiday that holds a deep sense of gratitude and brings family and friends together over a hearty, autumnal feast.
Kinship revives the traditional Thanksgiving family meal with highly valued sharing-style menus featuring nostalgic American dishes inspired by Executive Chef Chris Grare’s New Jersey upbringing The Thanksgiving Dinner Menu will be available on 26 & 27 November priced at HK$488+10% per guest, while the Thanksgiving Weekend Brunch Menu will be available on 28 & 29 November priced at HK$388+10% per guest. For larger groups who wish to celebrate Thanksgiving at home, Kinship will offer a Takeaway Thanksgiving Dinner Package for 6-8 people priced at HK$1,888.
Thanksgiving Dinner at Kinship (26-27 November)
Highlights of this year’s Thanksgiving dinner will include starters of Ricotta & Nutmeg Agnolotti with butternut squash, crispy leeks, and candied pecans, and Louisiana-style Crayfish Salad with marinated organic tomato, corn and avocado. Guests can choose one main dish, including the chef’s recommended Smoked Turkey, a twist on tradition served with hazelnut-cauliflower puree and cranberry jus. Vegetarians can also join in on the feast with Porcini Risotto, served with madeira reduction, pecorino and fresh herbs. Nostalgic sides include creamy Mashed Potato, Brussels and Ponzu, Grandma’s Baked Stuffing, and Cranberry Sauce. For dessert, share a home-style Apple Pie Crumble with roasted almond ice cream and vanilla crème, and a sweet interpretation of the American childhood favorite, Salted Caramel S’more with waffle wafer, marshmallow and chocolate mousse.
Thanksgiving Weekend Brunch at Kinship (28-29 November)
In true Thanksgiving spirit, Kinship continues Thanksgiving festivities into the weekend, revamping the brunch menu to feature family-style sharing dishes. Highlights from the starters include Smashed Avocado with crayfish salad and salsa verde, Corned Beef Hash with caramelized onion and dill, and Watermelon Salad with smoke and barrel sauce and queso fresco. From mains, choose from the hearty options of Thanksgiving Smoked Turkey with cranberry jus and all your favorite sides, hot and sweet Fried Chicken & Waffles, and Baked Cod with braised cabbage, chorizo, and saffron emulsion. Desserts are just as indulgent an affair, with sharing-style Apple Pie Crumble and Mr Whippy ice cream with roasted pumpkin, candied pecan, and salted caramel.
Takeaway Thanksgiving Dinner Package (26th November – 26th December)
Available from 26th November – 26th December, Kinship’s Thanksgiving takeaway package will feature portions appropriate for 6-8 guests. The special home celebration package includes a premium 5-6kg whole turkey with homemade cranberry sauce, and coveted sides such as mashed potato, roasted pumpkin, and grandma’s baked stuffing. The decadent meal concludes with a traditional key lime pie with a graham cracker crust, and a bottle of sparkling wine to round up the festive experience.
