Duddell’s New Festive Takeaway Clay Pot Dishes on JIA Everywhere
Clay pot rice is a popular winter dish in Hong Kong, originally considered a lazy dish for those who wanted to cook everything in a single casserole pot over a charcoal flame. The warm and fluffy rice is flooded with flavours from a trove of toppings like salted fish, Chinese sausage, and frog legs, and coated with drizzles of sweetened soy sauce. For most, the smoky aroma and crispy burnt rice at the bottom tick the final boxes for all the characteristics of the perfect clay pot rice.
At Duddell’s Hong Kong, Chef Li presents modern interpretations of the age-old clay pot tradition, now available for takeaway or delivery on JIA Everywhere. Options include Lamb Clay Pot (HK$628*) created with lamb, winter bamboo shoots, and winter mushroom; Braised South African Three-Head Abalone with Three Yellow Chicken Clay Pot (HK$1,288* for half-chicken, HK$1,488* for whole chicken), Giant Mottled Eel Clay Pot (HK$888*) with dried fish maw and shiitake mushroom, and Chinese Preserved Meat Clay Pot (HK$468) with Chinese bacon and Chinese preserved sausages.
*All prices are inclusive of the HK$150 clay pot deposit, which will be returned in full upon safe & undamaged return of the pot to Duddell’s Hong Kong.
Pick-up and takeaway are available (for any spend) at Duddell’s from 12pm onwards, and delivery is available from 11:30am-8pm on Daily. Delivery orders must be placed before 6pm the day before. New Dim Sum Weekend Brunch Format
Served on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, Weekend Salon Brunch now offers two choices of sessions from 12pm-3pm and 3pm-6pm. Guests dining in for the 3pm-6pm seating will receive 10% off the bill.
Weekend brunch starts at HK$550+10% per adult and HK$250+10% per child (3-10 years of age) inclusive of free-flow fresh juices and soft drinks. A brunch package inclusive of free-flow champagne, selected cocktails, wines, beers, and soft drinks, is priced at HK$788+10% per adult.
