• QUENCH YOUR SUMMER THIRST NOW

The weather of late has been brutally hot and we encourage you to stay hydrated with new cocktails and spiritfree drinks by COA and Tastings Group.

    COA’s New Cocktail Offerings

Since opening in the heart of NoHo this past December, COA has enticed the public with innovative artisanal cocktails by head mixology Jay Khan and a pioneering knowledge of agave spirits.

Following the hit of COA’s first fermented beverage, the beloved Mexican street drink Tepache made with fermented pineapple skin and cinnamon bark, Jay has curated a more extensive list of fermented alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to meet the overwhelming demand. Applying basic food science on in-house fermentation techniques to create optimal flavours and results, 4 new drinks have been added to the “house fermented” section of cocktails.

In addition, an alcohol-free fermented drink is now the perfect healthy option for non-drinkers at COA. Choices include the Lacto – Fermented Agua de Jamaica (HK$75), a twist on the classic Mexican Agua de Jamaica with Hibiscus, sugar and water.

    Spiritfree Mixes by Tastings Group

In an insomniac city like Hong Kong, it’s easy for residents to burn out from fast-paced social lifestyles – which, more often than not, involves drinking copious amounts of alcohol. With five multiple award-winning bars operating under its wing, Tastings Group is well aware of the growing number of Happy Hour-goers, who, for whatever reason, simply wish to opt out of drinking alcohol at the bar.

In the first-of-its-kind “spiritfree” cocktail initiative to sweep across Hong Kong, Angel’s Share Whisky Bar & Restaurant, Quinary, Ori-Gin, The Envoy, and VEA Lounge have jumped on board to each curate a menu of creative alcohol-free cocktails to cater to the taste of all non-alcohol-drinking customers. With Tasting Group’s skilled bartenders applying the same technique, care and quality that goes into each one of the drinks, no longer is it an embarrassing “mockery” to order mocktails, or “virgin” drinks that denote sticky sweet mixes of synthetic syrups, but a dignified and inclusive effort to order a Spiritfree cocktail instead.
